“Beautiful easy relaxing holiday, would go back in a heartbeat!” The stay was excellent. Lovely house with plenty of land, including olive groves and a vineyard. Everything was was in great condition, and is a great environment to relax in. Paola and Guiseppe were very welcoming and left us lots of local treats. A car is a necessity though to explore the local sights, including the natural hot baths. I would thoroughly recommend visiting Nibbio Reale.
“It was truly magical and fairy.” I went to tuscany with my boyfriend and couple friend of mine.
As soon as we have arrived we were blown away by the view from the terrace over Gaiole... the smell from its gardenia was exhilarating...
We were very impressed by the whole house and its decoration.. we could feel tuscany at CasaCorvo and at the same time at home (love the game boards and Cd's)... and the fountain!!! Whow! The house location is priceless!!!
We could find anything we need at the kitchen even a pic-nic basket!!
We wish we could have used the terrace (there were a table and terrace chairs) to have our meals but the weather did not help. Concerning the others facilities, they were fantastic but we had no time to use them... Maybe next time ;) (I will return for sure ;))
There's no words to describe how overwhelmed we were about everything (from the house until the landscape).
It is important to mention the kindness, helfullness and flexibility of the owner without him our dream could never come true. Thank you Phil, again.
“Home from home in beautiful countryside” Lovely property, well set up for all weather, great facilities. Steve gave us excellent directions to get there. He was very helpful with booking and throughout.
Location is great, it is lovely and peaceful. The private road in is metal and a bit bumpy but we found it fine and added to the character of the location.
Lots of lovely smaller villages nearby and also in between Volterra and San Gimignano which are both gorgeous places. Nothing is really that far from the property in the car.
If you want a lovely location, high quality property with excellent views, then highly recommend Il Granario. Thanks Steve!
Magnetic and charismatic, Tuscany has it all: extraordinary countryside, glorious coast, fabulous rustic food, and the world’s best art. Not bad for a region only a tad bigger than Wales. Whether you choose fascinating Florence or rural Pitigliano, you’ll never look back.
Fine Art & Even Finer Wine
This region of central Italy holds some of the world’s most important artistic treasures, including Michelangelo’s statue of David and many Botticelli masterpieces in the galleries of Florence. But art isn’t the only human creation celebrated here: the rolling hills surrounding the city are covered by a blanket of vineyards, their neat lines disappearing to the horizon.
Throw open the windows of your villa or apartment in Tuscany and you’re pretty much guaranteed a jaw-dropping view. This could be the majestic peaks of the Apennine Mountains or the white sandy beaches of the Tuscan Archipelago’s islands, including Elba and Giannutri. Don’t miss the coastal clifftop villages of Cinque Terre, either, where narrow streets, colourful houses and pretty squares show a nostalgic side of Italy.
Cookery classes are a favourite activity for visitors to Tuscany, eager to learn the basics to take home as an everlasting souvenir. Wasting food is a big no-no in Tuscany, so many of the region’s best-loved dishes, like Panzaletta and Ribolita, include stale bread and lashings of olive oil (harvested from groves scattered across the countryside). Another of the region’s famous exports is the rare and expensive truffle.

A ‘gem’ in Cortona
Alle Pietre would without doubt, be the best holiday home we have stayed in over the past ten years.
From the very beginning, the communication from Ester, the owner, was excellent and the welcome from both Ester and her husband Giovanni was wonderful - like meeting old friends, they were warm and genuinely wanted us to have a fabulous time - we did!
The house is in the most perfect position by the wall looking into the valley below - watching the sunset from this spot was absolutely breath taking.
The house has been recently renovated from top to bottom and to a very high standard, it is furnished with exquisite antique style furniture. The kitchen is exceptionally well equipped and bed linen and towels of a very high standard. Everything worked and Ester was just a txt message away if help was required.
We absolutely loved our two weeks at Alle Pietre and are hoping to return next year.
Thank you Ester and Giovanni for everything. …
charming cottage in peaceful country setting sleeps 2-6
We will come back!
It was great staying here! We found a nice little place to feel at home. The cottage is lovely furnished, very clean and has everything we needed for the week (including fast heating for some rainy and cold evenings (20minutes was enough to get the humid air out!) and free Wi-Fi, thats working perfectly and fast). We really loved sitting in the beautiful garden full of roses, looking over the wine-yards and listening to all the birds (also nightingales!!!). The cottage is set in a great surrounding - Tuscany like in a picture book!
Laura was a perfect host. We felt very welcomed, we could ask her for everything and she could give us good hints for restaurants, hiking-paths and everything else you need to know for holiday. Thank you very much, Laura! …
Casa Colomba, Authentic Tuscany, Romantic 12th Century Tower house nr PISA/LUCCA
A unique experience.
We feel so lucky to have stayed in Casa Colomba and experience the best week of our month in Italy. Right from the welcome Marie and Lorenzo gave us on arrival we felt at home in this beautiful, unique apartment in a tower. The locals were so friendly, the food was delicious and the country walks fantastic. We got to see the real lifestyle of Vicopisano and we are determined to experience it again! …
Villa Colle Tuscan Poolside House with Jacuzzi
Such a wonderful place and host
What a lovely secluded villa, it had everything we needed for a relaxing family holiday with 2 young children, we spent most days in the pool which is a very good size, clean and the temperature was not bad and in the evenings once the kids went to bed we sat on the terrace and enjoyed the views over looking the hills of Italy the fireflies and other wildlife which is around. There is a fenced off pond with a tortoise , fish and tadpoles which the kids really enjoyed looking at and as this had railings around we did not worry about them falling in. The road leading to the villa is a private road which is very bendy but I think this just adds to the charm that this place holds, the beds where comfortable and we where able to eat outside everyday. Sara and her family are absolutely wonderful they let you get on and enjoy your holiday on your own but Sara is always on hand if you need to ask a questions and she also gave us advise on places to visit and parking which is available at different places. Sara cooked us a meal on our last night which was wonderful a 4 course meal which for what we had and how lovely it tasted was very good value for money. We will definitely be coming back here!! we all had such a lovely time and did not want to leave. …
DeiMori Lamassa Villa and B & B
Idyllic, peaceful Tuscan villa
This villa is a credit to its owner Danny. Everything you need for a relaxing holiday. We never tired of the stunning views, the birdsong and of course the facilities. Comfortable beds, very clean. A car is essential to visit the surrounding towns, villages and restaurants. However, if you want a treat, Danny and Marco are superb chefs and cooked my family a Tuscan feast.!
This villa is a 'must' visit. (And I'm fussy) …
