“Fabulous apartment, beautiful location, very friendly host” We stayed here for a week in May. We loved the apartment, it was clean, spacious, with a little terrace where we were able to sit and have our meals (there is also a large dining table inside). It was very peaceful. The apartment is situated in a quiet location about a 15-20 minute walk from the centre of Florence. There are also regular buses within a very short walk. Lucia was very helpful, a great host. We found the hob for cooking confusing to use so didn't do as much self catering as we intended, but this was only a very small minus and we would have no hesitation in recommending the Perfect Florentine Retreat. We spent around 25 days travelling in Italy and this apartment and Florence and the surrounding area were one of the highlights of our trip. We would certainly stay here again, we loved it.
“A wonderful property on top of a hill” We have been a Group of 5 couples and we have spent one week at the La Casina. We all had an amazing time at the property. The house offers a lot of space and it is very nice with a lot of lovely details. The house was absolutely clean. The house includes 4 bed rooms and 1 bed room in the tower. You should know that the tower bed room has no seperate door. The garden is absolutely great. A lot of space and very looked after. The pool gets cleaned every day. The house is on top of a hill and you have an amazing view! For those who enjoy the quiet and don´t mind to have a little drive to the next village this is the right choice!
Magnetic and charismatic, Tuscany has it all: extraordinary countryside, glorious coast, fabulous rustic food, and the world’s best art. Not bad for a region only a tad bigger than Wales. Whether you choose fascinating Florence or rural Pitigliano, you’ll never look back.
Fine Art & Even Finer Wine
This region of central Italy holds some of the world’s most important artistic treasures, including Michelangelo’s statue of David and many Botticelli masterpieces in the galleries of Florence. But art isn’t the only human creation celebrated here: the rolling hills surrounding the city are covered by a blanket of vineyards, their neat lines disappearing to the horizon.
Throw open the windows of your villa or apartment in Tuscany and you’re pretty much guaranteed a jaw-dropping view. This could be the majestic peaks of the Apennine Mountains or the white sandy beaches of the Tuscan Archipelago’s islands, including Elba and Giannutri. Don’t miss the coastal clifftop villages of Cinque Terre, either, where narrow streets, colourful houses and pretty squares show a nostalgic side of Italy.
Cookery classes are a favourite activity for visitors to Tuscany, eager to learn the basics to take home as an everlasting souvenir. Wasting food is a big no-no in Tuscany, so many of the region’s best-loved dishes, like Panzaletta and Ribolita, include stale bread and lashings of olive oil (harvested from groves scattered across the countryside). Another of the region’s famous exports is the rare and expensive truffle.

Villa Caterina: Wonderful Villa with pool in Tuscany country side, near Lucca
We had a fantastic 2 weeks stay in Villa Caterina in August , as a family of 6 , 2 children 4 and 8 and grandparents the villa made a perfect base . Its fantastic place for a relaxing "time out", but equally nothing is too far away if you want to get out and about and visit the gorgeous sights in the area!
The pool was a dream in the lovely hot weather and the treats from the owners father were AMAXING! We had a super stay and hope to return again soon ! …
ANGUILLARA - lovely big flat in Florence's heart
Christmas in Florence
Florence is a fantastic place to spend Christmas...very atmospheric with wonderful things to see.
We arrived in Florence ahead of time and were able drop off our luggage at our apartment. Emanuelle met us and completed the paperwork and gave us the keys. We had to pay a bill for taxes..electricity and cleaning as an extra. It would have been better to include this in the cost of the apartment rather than a €213 extra on arrival.
Then we went off to do some grocery shopping while the cleaning of the was completed.
The apartment was centrally located and within a number of interesting historic places...restaurants and bars.
The apartment was large but adequate. With a bit of care and attention could have been spectacular. The furniture was old and tatty and the mattresses none too comfortable. The bathrooms were clean with plenty of hot water and there was a well equipped kitchen although we didn't do any cooking.
In the paperwork there was a note about the importance of recycling and taking out the rubbish on a daily basis but no advice as to where to take it to. The TV didn’t work. We used the grill in the oven for toast which made the power go off a couple of times but after the 1st time we learnt how to turn it back on. We did not see anyone in the time we were there.
The apartment wasn't cheap and although we were ok...it could have been special with a bit of care. …

The Most Memorable and Best Experience with Family Ever
A friend asked me about what would be a great place to stay in Tuscany. My family stayed here in 2015. The request starting me thinking about our fabulous week at Capanne. It was so excellent and every memory was the best. The villa, the grounds, the pool, the accommodations were all just perfect. There were 7 of us and there was plenty of rooms and baths. The outdoor spaces were lovely as well as the house. We still talk about how wonderful Maria was. The best part was so many places were accessible both north and south. It was so pleasant after a day of sightseeing to come back to such tranquility. We did have a car. The owners were so kind and helpful. WE'd go back in a second. …
LOVELY HOUSE BY THE SEA PRIVATE FREE ACCESS TO THE BEACH AND THE SWIMMING POOL
I love ocean in the winter so I decided to spend few days in Argentario because of its wild landscapes and also because it is so near to Pisa, Siena, la Maremma. I found the house perfectly located in the hearth of calapiccola that is one of the exclusive beaches there. Close by the hotel calapiccola with bar restaurant, pool. Rooms are clean and bright, spacious. We could use the fireplace and the barbecue outside to cook the fish. Porto Santo Stefano downtown is only 6km away but u need a car to go. the bay is 700 metres but I could walk and was a pleasant walk. what can i say more? It was a special holiday for me and my wife.
