Agriturismo Caprareccia Bianca Country Apartments
A little piece of heaven

Beautiful location set in the scenic Sabine mountains with amazing views over the valley and other mountains. The pool was stunning, and particularly appreciated due to the very hot weather. The apartment was clean, comfortable and nicely furnished. WiFi and phone reception was excellent, which kept our teenagers happy. Vanessa and her family were very welcoming, and especially helpful when we encountered a puncture on our hire car. The appartment is within easy driving distance to the the village of Casperia, and for a bigger town -Poggio Mirteto; from here Rome is just an hour away by train. A day return ticket was just 9 Euro and included the use of metro, tram and bus. We had an amazing time, with lots of fond memories. We hope to visit again!see more
Elegant suite Poggio Mirteto
A Taste of La Dolce Vita

From the outset Benedetto was very helpful and responded promptly to my initial queries, which is why I opted to book his apartment rather than any of the others that I was also looking at. The whole booking process went really smoothly and even when I needed to make a slight change it didn't pose any problems for Benedetto. Prior to our arrival Benedetto sent us some helpful information about the apartment and offered to meet us at the train station which was a fabulous gesture and much appreciated as we didn't arrive in Poggio Mirteto until 8pm. Upon arrival Benedetto told us a little about the area and recommended places to eat. There was a little welcome pack when we got to the apartment, a lovely surprise! And Benedetto made it quite clear that we should get in touch if anything should go wrong. The apartment itself exceeded our expectations as the photographs don't do it justice. The ceilings are very high therefore it feels very spacious for a one-bedroomed apartment. And there is a nice balance of modern and rustic...giving the place a nice homely feel. The location is ideal. Through the back window you get a glimpse of the beautiful Sabine hills and countryside. And the front window opens out on to the main street lined with orange trees. Throwing open the windows in the morning was such a joy as you get to hear the hustle and bustle of Italian life. Yet when closed the soundproofing is really good and there is no disturbance. With a newsagents across the road, an ideal way to start your morning is to browse through the paper and have a morning coffee and pastry at one of the cafés within a few steps of the apartment. There is a shop for everything in Mirteto and all those that we popped into were run by local people...not a global chain in sight! There are not many English speakers, which is great if like my partner you are looking to put into practice your Italian learning. However if you are a beginner like me, everyone is really friendly and helpful and you can make yourself understood. And as the equivalent of a market town in the UK, your favourite cafe quickly knows how you take your coffee, the newsagent knows your preferred read and the baker knows what bread you like. With a number of restaurants to choose from, you can eat somewhere different each night if you choose, alternatively the apartment is adequately stocked with equipment to make basic meals and there are lots of places to buy groceries. We enjoyed our stay in Poggio Mirteto so much that we had to force ourselves to take a trip into Rome, which is accessible with public transport. On our return home from Mirteto everyone has commented on how relaxed and carefree we look after our taste of La Dolce Vita. We are really looking forward to spending a summer there and will definitely be booking with Benedetto again.see more
Antico Casale Romano
Fantastic house in a great location

We spent two weeks in this great house. The owners of the house are very friendly and welcomed us in a very warm way. The house is fantastic with a great pool, well equipped and is located in a real Italian setting. We felt at home in the little village of Montebuono, which is about 1 hr drive from Rome. A great house, a great family and a great location.see more
La Pazziella charming villa in roman country
Peaceful and spacious property- highly recommended

Our family of two adults and two teenagers stayed here for a week in July 2019. The house was clean and well equipped and more spacious than I expected. The outdoor space was fantastic - the gardens were well maintained and there was a huge choice of places to sit both in the sun and the shade. The pool was large and clean, and we were all able to be in there at the same time with plenty of space. Rossana greeted us on arrival and gave us loads of helpful information. Both she and Marisa, the owner, made contact during our stay to check we were OK. The surrounding area was picturesque, with lots of places to walk, shop and eat. I would really recommend this property for a peaceful family holiday. It represents very good value for money.see more
Modern yet traditional holiday villa in Roccantica on 3 acres, near Rome, Lazio
Every detail is taken care of, we felt very much at home

In many ways the Borgo Gaia Sabina is what one is looking for when going on holiday. The whole house, including the apartments, is very nicely decorated, every little detail is taken care of. The facilities are of superb quality, in the Borgo (living, bedrooms, bathrooms, kitchens) and outside (pool and views). The location is great as well, in the countryside, close to some traditional Italian villages and in the meantime less than 45 minutes from Rome and the airports Fiumicino and Ciampino We will definitely be back!see more
A delightful stone villa
Idyllic, peaceful and comfortable villa with spectacular views

The previous positive reviews are accurate and we were not disappointed with this property. A comfortable and well equipped house, with three large bedrooms and two bathrooms. Well designed to be cool inside, while offering three separate terraces (plus a huge garden) from which to enjoy the sun and views at different times of the day. It was hot while we were there, but being up the hills means that there's a pleasant breeze to take the edge off the hottest weather. The swimming pool is lovely, with good quality furniture and a convenient shaded seating area. Wifi in the property is excellent, and it's a great place to completely unwind safe in the knowledge the internet is on hand if required! Rocco Sinibalda is just a short drive away and has the basic shops, bars and restaurant - it is a pretty little place with an extremely beautiful castle perched on the top of a hill. Rome is approx 1 hr 15 mins in the car (right to the centre) and we visited several times. Owner Carla is very helpful and friendly, and previous visitors had left useful information, which we added to, about local attractions and places to eat.see more
