“Great home - close to everhything !” We stayed here in middle January 2013 for 4 days and were very pleased with Agnes' attention and kindness in getting us situated. She recommended a shuttle-pick up from the airport (Mercedes) and was there to greet us and get us situated. Very clean and spatious property. Both my friend and I were at first concerned about other reviewer's reviews of the 'noisy' bells, but neither of us found them noticeable at all. Very soft and hard to hear actually. I would definitely recommend this home !
“Conveniently located, well-sized and well-equipped apartment” We really enjoyed staying in this apartment, 3 bedrooms and 2 baths are a real asset when you are traveling with two teenage daughters as we did. The bus stop for bus 64 is only a few steps away, this bus line connects you with virtually any place in Rome, alternatively you can walk to St. Pietro Train Station to catch a regional train if you want to go to the Lido or Ostia Antica for example. The walk to St. Peter's is only 5 mins. - the view from the balcony is lovely, we liked to take our nightcap sitting there. The kitchen is really well-equipped, even if you are into serious cooking, the dishwasher comes in handy, too. A Carrefour supermarket and several mini-markets are a few steps away, as well as some bars, smaller restaurants and take-aways. Since it was still quite hot at the end of August we were lucky that we had air-conditioning. You have to pay extra, but it was worth it. The a/c works very efficiently and is very quiet. If you leave the windows open you might be disturbed by the traffic from the street which is pretty busy. On the first night we were surprised by the garbage trucks that came around shortly before midnight and they do this every night, so you get used to it. Satellite TV provided us with the two main German channels which was good enough to stay informed. WiFi worked fine, too. The elevator was a blessing to get our luggage up to the third floor, and down again. When we had a small problem with a leaking shower hose that set half the bathroom under water, we called Giovanna. Since she was out of town, she sent her son over who fixed the hose immediately. We met Giovanna on our departure day and were very happy that we were allowed to leave our luggage in the apartment on that day because our flight back was only in the late afternoon and so we were able to enjoy a couple of hours more strolling about in the city. Since our Italian is almost nonexistent we were very grateful that all communication could take place in English. Giovanna took really good care of us, answered all questions per e-mail or on the phone at once. Staying in this apartment gives you an idea what life in Rome is like, we did not feel too much like tourists and this is something we particularly liked about our stay.
“We have already booked to come back!” A superb apartment catering for every kind of stay. Whether you have older people in your party or children the apartment is perfectly situated with just a short walk to the Colosseum and open top tour bus stop. There are small grocery stores a few doors away and the apartment is to the rear of the building opening onto a beautiful court yard so you cannot hear the hussle and bustle of this amazing city. The apartment has everything you need and is immaculate and there is nothing the owner won't do for you. I would recommend this amazing stay for families, senior citizens, group holidays and romantic stays. I have already booked to go back with friends and booked my parents to go for a romantic break. Superb!!!
“Better than perfect!” This is my second stay and I will return. In addition to the extremely convenient geographic location, I can not say enough about how comfortable and well equipped the flat is. Everything needed is available and things you didn't even know you needed are also to be found. Great information provided for transfers, tours, etc too. The place is immaculately clean and all items are in new condition. You will be relaxed and feel at home with Rome waiting at the doorstep. Do not hesitate to book.
“Great location in the heart of Rome!” We really enjoyed this beautiful, clean apartment. It is newly remodeled with wood floors and very well-appointed bathroom with a huge shower. Bed is very comfortable with nice linens. Best of all is the location! You can walk to most of the famous sites. Bus stop very close. We had a little trouble finding a market though. The only negative is the kitchen is not really set up for cooking (no oven) and did not have a microwave or toaster. We were on the go so much that we didn't have time to cook anyway, so it was ample for us. It was very hot when we were there, and the A/C worked like a charm! This place is perfect for a couple or a family of 4. Would definitely recommend!
“Perfect mix of Roman flat with German comfort and lot of charm” Very nice flat with tastyful layout and ancient charm (contemporary) in the center of Rome.
Excellent heating and aircondition, perfect beds with continental bed linen,
super clean, quick WIFI, TV with lots of programs...
No disadvantages - but important to know:
Noisy because of lots of street traffic.
Mattrasses are very hard.
Giuliana is a perfect hostess with many useful tips for a pleasent stay in Rome.
Supermarkets and pizza-to-go very close to this appartment.
“Wonderful vacation” This apartment was really a surprise for me. I Have seen the fotos but in reality it is much nicer WITH an out standing location. We were 3 couples and to have my own bedroom WITH the bathroom inside was fantastic. The service them have us was also very professional
“Heavenly place in Trastevere” This apartment in Trastevere is one of the most beautiful places I have stayed in Rome. It's in the centre of Rome but quiet and secluded. The apartment is clean, tastefully decorated, and spacious for two or even four people. The view of street and out of the window is breathtakingly memorable. It is an ideal place for Rome and I would definitely love to come back to stay. The host is a generous, caring, and fantastic host who welcomed us warmly to the apartment. I cannot recommend more highly of her as a host and her elegant place!
“Lovely home away from home in Rome - highly recommended” Casa della Robbia is a lovely, comfortable apartment in the Testaccio area of Rome. I stayed there with my older teenage son for five days. The apartment is spotless, charming and has all the conveniences to make a vacation easy - dishwasher, clothes washer, full kitchen. It is also modern and really attractive. Note that it is quite small so I wouldn't think more than 2 or 3 people would be comfortable for longer stays. I also loved the building in which it was located - great marble staircase leading up to our floor, plus an old-fashioned "cage" elevator we enjoyed using. Paola, our hostess, was friendly and available to answer all of our questions.
We also loved the neighbourhood. It is a real residential area with "real Romans" going about their daily business. We were close to a pretty piazza with cafés, restaurants, a nice park where local kids played and older folks rested on benches chatting. A relief from the bustle of the tourist core downtown. We walked most places including from "our place" to downtown (Vatican, Pantheon). We also took metros and taxis with no problem. The apartment is close to the train leading to the airport. It is very convenient.
I strongly recommend this rental apartment.
“A wonderful stay; great location; delightful host” We arrived late but Paolo was more than helpful, letting us in to the apartment and ensuring that our stay in Rome got off to a great start. The apartment is modern, beautifully clean with lovely high ceilings and smart furnishings. There was every thing that we could need for our short stay. It is well placed for site seeing being just off St Peter's square but we were also able to walk to other parts of the city- including a walk to the stadium for the Italy v Scotland match! Paolo was able to arrange a taxi for us on our last day to get to the airport ( very early in the morning). There are lots of places to eat within a short distance of the apartment- including the restaurant opposite where we enjoyed two very good meals.
“practical apartment” The owner was very helpful, apartment is small and practically furnished, located in area of restaurants and small delicatessens.Nearby is the tram station but most of the attractions can be visited on foot.
Classical ruins, inspiring art and picturesque winding streets brimming with locals... it’s easy to see why the Eternal City has enduring appeal. From the breathtaking Vatican City to the peaceful Castelli Romani Hills, a trip to Rome will stay with you forever.
A Colossus Of History
No stay in Rome is complete without a visit to the Colosseum - the world’s largest and most historically significant amphitheatre. Other historical must-sees include the beautifully preserved Pantheon and the 'mother of all churches,' St. Peter's Basilica. Lesser-known sights such as the Ostia Antica Archaeological Park and Circus Maximus are also well worth a look.
La Dolce Vita Lifestyle
You’re on holiday, so why not allow yourself to indulge in some of the finer things in life? Watch the world go by while sipping a velvety coffee or fruity red wine. Tuck into a thin and crispy pizza cooked the Italian way or a sumptuous bowl of pasta before taking a leisurely stroll around the numerous designer shops. And if you need a little treat en route, cool off with traditional Italian gelato. As the saying goes, when in Rome...
Picture Perfect Plazas
Rome is a patchwork of squares and fountains, each with its own artistic value and history. The Piazza Navona’s open-air cafés, seasonal fairs and street entertainers will keep visitors entertained for hours. The Campo dei Fiori in the Parione district with its buzzing bars is the place to be when the sun goes down, and the Piazza di Spagna, site of the Spanish Steps, oozes style and sophistication.

Rome Luxury Apartment: lion 1
Spring in Rome
We had an amazing stay in this apartment in Rome in March, 2018. We had 4 adults and 2 children (ages 7 and 10), and the apartment could not have been better. It's in a wonderful location--walking distance to great restaurants, a shopping market and plenty of shopping. We stayed for 8 nights, so having a washing machine, dryer and air conditioning was extraordinarily helpful. Marcella was an incredible host, and it was a luxury having a housekeeper in the building. I would also highly recommend Anne Hogan (the tour guide) and Gino (the driver), who were recommended by Marcella and were wonderful. We can't wait to come back! …
Family-sized stay in Rome. Up to 8 people 4 rooms 3 bathrooms terrace
Rome sightseeing trip
Just spent 4 nights in Luisa’s apartment, perfect choice for family of 5! Room for everyone to relax after a hard days walking. So close to The Colosseum and easy to get to all points of interest whilst being just that bit further away from the hustle and bustle. Apartment was clean and cosy, had everything we needed. Luisa was welcoming and kind, arranging a driver to pick us up was so helpful. Handy supermarket around the corner but those little supplies on arrival were very useful. Plenty of restaurants nearby, taxi from rank opposite took us straight to the Vatican City to save our legs! (€50) First time renting like this but would definitely do it again, everything was as described and with ‘big’ kids (19,17,12) it was so much more comfortable than a crammed hotel room. Thank you Luisa for allowing us to enjoy your home, am already missing the view of Basilica San Giovanni from the terrace! …

In Trastevere: In Rome as the Romans
Fantastic apartment, excellent location, super helpful owner.
Fantastically equipped, comfortable and exceptionally clean apartment in a wonderful location surrounded by excellent, reasonably priced restaurants and cafes. All amenities on the doorstep including a super cafe literally steps from the apartment door for excellent coffees and breakfast. The apartment, although situated in a beautiful, vibrant and lively area, is very peaceful at night. We used the number 8 tram which is only a short stroll away to access central Rome but also walked into the city with no problem as so much is accessible on foot. Bruno, the owner, was so helpful from the initial booking and throughout our stay with superb communication. We were greeted and warmly welcomed by Loretta who lives in the same block so help is always at hand if needed. We wouldn't hesitate to return to the apartment when visiting Rome again. …
coup de foudre
Excellent location -very close to walk to city sights, but quiet and cosy.
We had a lovely holiday in the centrally situated one room apartment. It is within easy walking distance of most of the major sites in Rome. The apartment was equipped with all we needed, although the electric hob was underpowered for cooking pasta, which took a considerable time! The outside courtyard was lovely and would have been even more welcome if the weather had been warmer! We were able to walk to the Vatican, forum, colosseum, spanish steps, trevi fountain etc from the apartment. We took the local train from Fiumicino airport to Trastevere station and a tram to the Arenula stop, a 3 minute walk from coup de foudre. We were met by Jasmine who welcomed us to the apartment. We enjoyed the local restaurant recommended by Riccardo and explored Trastevere which was also recommended, also provided were lots of guide books which we found very useful. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom convenient. Thank you to Riccardo and Jasmine for a lovely time in Rome! …
Cosy and stylish 2beds flat 3 mins from Piazza di Spagna
Super apartment in a great location
Super apartment in a great location very close to the Spanish square, lots of nice restaurants and bars, but with the apartment on the inside of the building and so very quiet. Great flexibility to receive the keys earlier than normal check in time and the fact that there were some basics in the apartment such as coffee and sugar was a nice touch. The only downside is that it is advertised as two bedrooms and two bathrooms. There are indeed two bedrooms of a good size but there is only reallly one bathroom with a shower as the second has just a toilet with a sink. For two couples it is ok, but not exactly what is described as two bathrooms. …
