A very good apartment in a very good location for a holiday

Firstly, the pictures don't do the property justice. It's a beautiful apartment with plenty of room and a balcony around the entire apartment to enjoy an evening breeze. Secondly, the location was perfect for us. Immediately surrounding the property is a cheese shop that also sold pasta and eggs, a fruit and veg shop, a mobile phone shop to get a local SIM card, and a pharmacy. A full supermarket is less then 5 minute walk away. It's a suburban neighbourhood so the surroundings are quiet and authentic. There is a bus line (628) nearby that runs every 11 minutes at peak times. It runs straight up the city hitting many key tourist attractions, but it's a commuter bus so pickpockets don't ride this one much. There is a Metro (tube/subway) about 10 min walk away, which was useful later at night, but the neighbourhood around the Metro stop felt a bit unsavoury. There were a few problems to deal with. We had some trouble working out how to get hot water in the bathroom (there's a power switch near the door), how to plug in the toaster and microwave (there's an adapter needed to convert the various plugs in use in Italy), and how to get the washing machine door to open (run the spin cycle twice then unplug the washer to unlock the door). To get a 5 rating, I'd want: - more descriptive rating of the location before arrival to make it easier to recognise - a guidebook for the apartment with instructions on key features (e.g. the water heater, the adapter plugs, the washer, and so on) - the second shower (with the massage spouts) to get hot water - the washing machine to spin dry on the first cycle - copies of the tourist info centre free maps to help get started on day 1 - fewer dust bunnies under the bedsee more
Bright home with great view, WI-FI A/C. Near Metro & Airport train.
A real home from home in a great location.

We were keen to book this property after reading previous reviews and we were not disappointed. As promised, Francesco met us from the train station and led us to the apartment which was just a 5 minute walk away. The apartment was bigger than anticipated with a long passage with 2 spacious bedrooms, kitchen and bathroom leading off. The children had the room with twin beds and were more than happy with their space and tv with music channel! I was a little apprehensive about the sofa bed but it was extremely comfortable and very sturdy - not how I imagined a sofa bed at all! The kitchen was well equipped and Francesco had kindly provided milk, water and coffee. There was also basics including tea bags and cling film. We purchased our breakfast foods from the Todis supermarket nearby as we stayed during the August Roman exodus, so the 'Bar' across the street was closed. The apartment is very well located for the Ponte Lungo Metro station. It was just 10 minutes on the metro into the centre of Rome and less than 20 minutes to the Vatican City. We stayed for 7 nights and bought the weekly travel card at the Ponte Lungo Metro station for EUR24 per person. (NB: the ticket machine is cash only, even though there is a credit card slot!) Transport for under 10's is free. We were also able to use the ticket for transport to and from Hydromania water park on the very outskirts of Rome. Francesco was keen for us to enjoy our Roman adventure and upon arrival spent a little time pointing out highlights and transport routes on maps he had provided. There were also Rick Steve's 2014 Italy guide books in the apartment which advised of audio tours for the Colosseum and Forum. We downloaded these onto our phones and listened to them with the children on location. Francesco also emailed us a PDF document containing useful information to help us plan our days before our departure and was happy to answer any questions. This is a large, clean and modern apartment in a terrific location. We have twins of 9 and it was great for them to have their own space - much, much better than sharing a single hotel room!see more
Amazing apartme near to Colosseo Caracalla and Circo massimo
Great Value, Great Location and Friendly Service too

As a family of 5 with three young children, this was a very good option. The commication was great from the beginning and Michela even organised a driver with a large van to meet us at the airport and take us to the apartment. Fabrizio greeted us upon arrival for the checkin and gave us a map and some great tips about dining, sightseeing and commuting around the city. The apartment was spacious, secure and had everything we needed to cook our own meals and wash our own clothes. Being winter, the heating was also good and the apartment was warm and cosy. It was great to have free WiFi which was still strong even with 5 people using it. The beds were little hard and the shower was a little small however we've since found this seems to be the norm after staying elsewhere is Italy. The Piazza de Rome, St Giovanni's Basillica and the Colosseum are all within walking distance and The Metro is close by. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to our friends who travel to Rome too.see more
