“spectacular views from compact, tasteful accommodation” Tastefully decorated, clean and providing just what you need. Main living area a little dark in Spring/Autumn; standard double bed small for large people. The views are wonderful, local walks lovely, atmosphere hushed and relaxing, Nick (who lives adjacent to the two properties) very friendly and helpful - and you can bring your dog(s). Our dog loved every second of the holiday and was only disappointed that the river is way too muddy in which to swim.

“Peaceful hideaway” We had a wonderful stay at Okel Tor Mine and would recommend for those wanting to get away from it all and relax in the country side. The Count House was lovely inside with everything you could need including a log burner for cosy evenings. Even though the cottage is not on it's own it is far enough away from the other cottage to feel secluded and like you are the only ones there. The views down to the river Tamar were gorgeous - it was a real treat to open the curtains each morning and look out on the valley (you can even lie in bed and see the view!). The fact that you can walk into Calstock to The Boot Inn for great food and drink makes the location even better! We would definitely like to come and stay again!
