“Great for families and fab value for money” We just had a lovely two night break using both Seabreeze and Abbey View. The owner very kindly removed the adjoining doors to make one huge space for us and allowed us an earlg check in at no extra cost. Some of the other reviews state that the accommodation is dated; yes it is, but everything worked perfectly and was clean. Everywhere else we looked may have been more modern but came with a large price tag! We needed somewhere large, kid friendly and dog friendly and this ticked every box within budget. Loads of space for the kids to run around and big living areas for large groups. 30 minute walk to the centre and only £6 in a taxi. We had a fab time!

“Hot tub heaven” We had a fantastic stay at the retreat during the Whitby Goth weekend. There were 6 people in our group, sister's and partners. We loved the open plan living,it is bright and airy with the bonus of underfloor heating.Bedrooms were big with en suites. The hot tub was a hit with the sisters. We met the owner Laurie who is only a phone call away, nothing was too much trouble. The jacuzzi bath was also a hit.We recommend White rose taxi's who dropped us at the door despite having to drive down the muddy track due to the weather. The peacocks visited every morning. We were sad to leave, but will definitely return We would recommend that you have a torch for getting in and out of your car at night, very dark, maybe something Laurie will look at for the future

“Fabulous little cottage” Stayed for 3 nights and had a lovely time! The cottage is small but very well equipped and spotlessly clean. The garden was definitely the best bit, sat there every morning for breakfast and early evening too. Well located with a footpath opposite to walk into Whitby, about a mile away. We also cycled from Ruswarp along the Cinder Track to Robin Hoods Bay (fabulous place), a route that takes you over Larpool Viaduct with amazing views of the surrounding countryside. Whitby is a great place, very quirky! East side is better and the Abbey was breathtaking. Not much info on Dracula though (our main reason for visiting), we enquired in tourist information about the walks which we couldn't do as they started after our holiday but the staff there didn't know anything about the places of interest visited on them. Nothing in the town either which was very strange considering that Whitby is known the world over for Dracula! Loved the town though and would definitely return. Recommend a visit to Jackson's butcher's opposite Eskmoor Cottage, bought chicken kebabs which were delicious and other items from the deli. The shop in the village doesn't appear to have much stock! Tried to go to the local pub on Sunday evening but they only serve until 5, went and had tapas instead in the Blitz in Whitby, very good but expensive. Also had lovely fish and chips in Alexander's. Only downside to the cottage was no WiFi so unable to WhatsApp family or Google local info but a small niggle as accommodation was first class, will definitely recommend!

“Abby view and seabreeze” We had a lovely weekend. There is everything that you need . We met the gentleman who owns the properties he was very nice and very helpful. The place is tranquil but at the same time a great place for children. My grandchildren cried when they had to leave. My only criticism is that the the cottages could do with a really good dusting cobwebs everywhere. To be honest it didn't bother me to take a quick duster over the place. Wonderful had my all.

“Outstanding house.” We stayed for a long weekend to celebrate my mums 75th birthday. Bridget who owns the property was so thoughtful that she’d even left a birthday card in the welcome basket, that contained loads of goodies including a bottle of Prosecco, wine, chocolates, crisps and lots more. Tea coffee milk was also provided. The house is outstanding, decorated to a high standard with top quality furnishings. We had everything provided we needed you couldn’t want for anything. We couldn’t find any parking and the property is up a hill, if you’ve got anybody with mobility problems. But that was the only issue. We will definitely be back

“What a surprise awaiting for us!” We were quite surprised to find the basket of goodies and the amazing cup cakes, on our arrival. We found the holiday house just beautiful, with every thing you could ever need, also very comfortable. I do feel a lot of thought had gone into the woodwork and joinery as i have never seen a hair dryer holder like that! We just loved the summer house and spent most evenings and afternoon tea's down their. We have had a very busy week. We have seen Dracula at the Abbey & Played golf at Snainton. Chilled out at Sandsend beach. Gone to Whitby museum, Had a go at rowing the boats and canoes at Ruswarp. Spent the whole day at Ravenscar. Went crab fishing at Whitby and waked along the Cinder tail. We do feel that we must retain as we have found so many other things to see and do.
