“Wonderful, well-appointed house in a great location.” We stayed at Kings House as an extended family group aging from teens to eighties. We had a lovely stay and all the family really enjoyed both the house and Scarborough. The house was wonderful, a real gem with plenty of accommodation for all the family on four floors, a good sized kitchen, a dining room that accommodated the whole group - we had lively evening meals around the table - and several sitting rooms (with books and games for all). The outdoor patio areas at the back were lovely for breakfast and the occasional BBQ. The only problem was trying to work out where everyone was! Despite packing maps & guides of the coast & moors we didn't actually leave Scarborough for the whole week (we had great weather). With the exception of the cases where we drove an elderly parent or for shopping we didn't use our cars either! We'd forgotten how much variety there was in Scarborough with the two beaches, castle, many parks and gardens, town centre shops, views etc. The house was well-located for all of these being on a quiet leafy street but only a few hundred metres from the south cliff.
