“An amazing house for a large group vacation.” 25 of us spent a fantastic long weekend for our annual family get-together ( this was our second visit to Skendleby Hall ). On arrival the house, grounds and setting are most impressive. We received a very warm welcome and made to feel immediately at home. Inside, the house is enormous, the rooms are very well furnished, extremely comfortable and fantastically equipped. We made full use of the kitchen facilities and had a great time all sitting down together for long dinners. Around the house, the full size snooker room, grand piano, games rooms ( table tennis, table football etc) were all used to the full and outside much fun was had playing crocquet and cricket on the lawns. The setting is delightful, looking out over the rolling countryside of the Lincolnshire Wolds, but sadly the weather this year intervened in our plans to make full use of the barbeque facilities. Over the years we have stayed in a number of large houses for family get togethers, but Skendleby is right up there at the top of my list for its quality, comfort and facilities.
