From the owner

The Stable sits behind stone walls in the grounds of a Grade II listed farmhouse. It dates from the 19th century and has been completely renovated to provide an ideal holiday base for a family or friends. Sleeping six people the cottage has been furnished in a contemporary style to a high and luxurious standard and has its own south facing garden with outdoor seating on the patio with sea glimpses.

With all the accommodation on one level it's got everything you need for an easy holiday. There is a spacious south facing living room which makes most of the sunny days with a dining area and comfy sofas and armchairs to relax and enjoy a good book or a glass of wine! With a wood burning stove for chilly evenings, a Freesat Smart TV, and free WiFi.

The kitchen is fully equipped with electric oven and hob, dishwasher, fridge / freezer, microwave and washing machine and leads out into the garden.

The Stable has three bedrooms, two twins which are served by the main bathroom with a bath and overhead shower and a master bedroom with a king sized bed, exposed stone walls and an en suite bathroom with a walk in shower. With pale wooden floors and simply but beautifully decorated, the rooms are calm, fresh and guaranteed to give you a good night's sleep!

There is storage at Buddle Place for bikes and surf boards in the garage and a large sink for dealing with wet suits and sandy swim wear.

The garden faces south and has been planted with sun loving flowers and shrubs which thrive in the warm South Island microclimate. The patio has seating for six and in the garden shed you will find a BBQ, parasol and deckchairs.

Parking for for one car on the cobbles, further parking available in St.Catherine’s Road.

The Buddle Inn Smugglers Pub is currently closed until March 2023

We provide, washing up liquid, tea towels, dishwasher tablets, tinfoil, liquid hand soap, tea & coffee. We also have a Nespresso maker and provide some pods for arrival.

The cottage has a lovely light spacious and contemporary feel to it. There are bleached floors with rugs and Freesat TV / Wi-fi in the living room and a wood burning stove for any chilly evenings. We supply one basket of logs, further logs can be bought from the local store in the village.

There is secure parking for one car in the stable yard and further parking outside the gates. The south facing garden has views to the English Channel and patio area with table chairs and parasol. Deckchairs are in the garden shed and the BBQ.

Drying facilities in the garage with butlers sink for washing wetsuits, plus storage for bikes and boards.

EV car charger is located in the garage.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Jay (the owner) a message.

If Jay (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
