The Central Scotland/Strathclyde region

Argyll's Secret Coast is tucked away in a small corner of Argyll on the west coast of Scotland. Bordered by Loch Fyne and the Kyles of Bute, it's an area of stunning natural beauty, with hills, glens, rugged coastlines, white beaches, clear waters and ancient forests. You won't find crowds of tourists here. What you will find is fantastic seafood, welcoming pubs, a wide range of holiday accommodation, a vibrant arts scene, breathtaking scenery, ancient sites and loads of outdoor activities. It may feel wild and remote, but it's only a two hour drive from Glasgow. Come and enjoy the peace, tranquillity and scenery of Argyll's Secret Coast … but don't tell everyone.

Fourwinds is ideally placed to take advantage of the many gems of the secret coast. You will be warmly welcomed by the locals, The best beach you could imagine, looking out onto the Isle of Arran, is a short drive and walk away. The local pub is a 10 minute walk into the village, where you can be assured of a good evening and food.

"Perfection in a holiday Home"

We had a fantastic week in Scotland. I can highly recommend this property, it was clean, comfortable, warm and welcoming. If it is peace and solitude with friendly locals then this is your place. The views over the Kyles of Bute cannot be matched we consider ourselves very lucky to have found Fourwinds and when we visit this area again we shall stay there. An absolute must are the fish and chips from Kames Hotel best I've ever tasted.

"Christmas at Fourwinds"

We are a family of 8 that enjoyed a wonderful christmas at Fourwinds. The cottage was clean, airy and very spacious with a kitchen table that easily seated us all. The local area provides all you would need in terms of a friendly pub, a fully stocked convenience store and a post office all within walking distance it even has a golf course!
The whole area is beautiful with views that are breathtaking and the beach that is located minutes away by car is stunning.
We will definately be returning.

"Beautiful place. We will be back!"

Fourwinds is a gorgeous spacious cottage beautifully located in a peaceful quiet location situated in unspoilt surroundings. There is good walking from the front door, and a range of shops and eating places is close by. It's a stunning, very well maintained cottage, set in a nice sized garden, with the added attraction of being dog friendly. It has a big friendly Kitchen, and all the equipment and furnishings were in excellent working order. The cottage never felt cramped at any time, has excellent reception rooms, and a handy snug for the children to do their own thing! The bedrooms were roomy with excellent storage, and all the bathrooms light and fresh. We stay in cottages a lot and this one could be our home! We will be back. Thank you so much.

"Vistas not to be missed....Four Winds must be on your list!!!!"

We loved our time at FourWinds the house was spotless, warm and cozy. We are Americans and found all the comforts of a well furnished home at our fingertips. We spent 10 days there with friends and family and could not have been more pleased with our choice of accommodations.

Mr. & Mrs. Anderson were extremely professional and accommodating while arranging our visit. They suggested various towns/places of interest and even arranged a boat trip for us. The surrounding towns we visited were amazing too everyone was so friendly and helpful.

We hope to return to beautiful Scotland one day and will undoubtedly stay at Four Winds.

"Marvellous location, great cottage, spectacular views, brilliant stay"

Marvellous cottage in a brilliant location. The cottage is very pleasant and homely with great facilities. It was very clean and spacious even with 8 of us staying and with spectacular views. The location is great for touring around, with many things to see and do within a relatively short drive through wonderful scenary and the cottage is in a very pleasant and friendly village. A great place for dog walking and cycling (if you dont mind hills!) and we can highly recommend the local pub! Would definitely visit again.
