This recently refurbished property has light and airy West facing rooms which take full advantage of the beautiful sunsets. The cottage opens into a landscaped courtyard - a veritable suntrap on hot, sunny days - which is furnished with benches to sit out and relax. The porch / sunroom is perfect for chilly mornings and evenings and looks out across the courtyard to the fields beyond.

With a fully-fitted kitchen, dining area and lounge with reclining seating and Sky TV, the cottage offers all the luxury comforts of home. A free wi-fi connection is also available. The cottage is perfect for full week holidays or quiet weekends / short breaks for two people who like to have easy access to a town and the local facilities but prefer a quiet evening retreat.

This little known and less populated area of the South Rhins known as 'undiscovered Scotland' offers something for all ages from beautiful sandy beaches to more rugged coastlines, forest walks, an excellent selection of gardens - including the Botanic garden at Port Logan. There are a number of golf courses within a short drive and fantastic sea and freshwater fishing for all abilities.

From the cottages there is easy access to a section of the Southern Upland Way which - taking in lanes, fells, bays and clifftops - begins / ends in the picturesque harbour village of Portpatrick. The Mull of Galloway - the most Southerly point of Scotland - is only 22 miles distant along the coastal road which provides beautiful views across Luce Bay across to the Lake District mountains and beyond.

The area is steeped in history with castles, abbeys, museums and exhibitions.

For those wishing to travel further afield day trips to Ireland are available from the ports at Cairnryan just a 20 minute drive away. Turnberry Golf Course is close enough to spend a day enjoying a few rounds of golf and the coastal towns of Girvan and Ayr are ideal for those who like to shop.
