From the owner

A modern, seaside cottage situated in the small village of Portpatrick in the South West corner of Scotland. With just a few minutes walk from the seafront, local shops, bars and restaurants, local 18 hole golf course and beautiful coastal walks. Lots of local tourist sites within the area such as Logan Botanical Gardens, Mull of Galloway Lighthouse the most southernly point in Scotland, Castle Kennedy Gardens and much more.

A joy for nature lovers as this area is also the home to red squirrel’s and many bird species can be found in various parts of the region, you can explore the RSPB in Wigtown or the reserve on The Mull of Galloway.

You enter the cottage and immediately come across the garage space and a spot to hang coats and store muddy boots and maybe hang wet weather clothing.

This space is also great to keep bikes, buggies and other hobby or outdoor equipment.

The heart of the cottage is a contemporary open-plan living space with a fully fitted kitchen.

Settle into the sofa in the lounge area and pop something on the new Smart Samsung TV or get comfy with a good book, there is a nice cosy reading area off the lounge.

A new Living Flame Fire with mood lighting has been added as part of the cottage upgrade - perfect for those cozy nights in after a long day exploring.

There is a modern shower room with a toilet on the ground floor where you can pop through to the breakfast room that overlooks the private rear patio area.

Both bedrooms, one double and one twin, are located upstairs along with an additional modern toilet.

On Street, free parking is available to the front of the cottage. This is a no through road so very little traffic.

We love to welcome dogs and well behaved owners. Dogs love the secure patio area which is just perfect for when they want to chill outside.

For the pleasure of all our guests, we do not permit smoking in Hill Street Cottage although the outside patio area is an ideal space for those who want to indulge. We look forward to seeing you very soon!

If Hill Street (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
