A unique architect designed & newly built boutique self-catering mews cottage located on a private road in the Conservation Area of the fashionable & vibrant Manchester suburb of West Didsbury. The cottage is close to some of Manchester's top restaurants, an eclectic mix of bars, wonderful independent shops & is also convenient for the motorway network, airport & just a short drive or tram trip into the city centre.

The cottage has a large open plan living space with vaulted ceiling & fully fitted kitchen with all neff appliances, two bedrooms - one has a king size double bed & the other two single beds, it also has a bathroom, wc & two designated off road parking spaces.

The cottage has been fitted out to a very high standard in both materials & furnishings, all the spaces are luxurious & relaxing. The building is very highly insulated with thermostatically controlled underfloor heating on the ground floor & the heating / hot water is ecologically produced from an air source heat pump.

We do want our guests to feel very much at home from the moment they arrive so we make sure you have all the basic provisions such as tea, coffee, sugar, olive oil and the like at no extra charge. Toiletries from The Bath House are also provided. For a small extra charge, we can also arrange for food & wine to be in the fridge for your arrival.

West Didsbury is very conveniently located being only 5 miles from the city centre & on the newly opened tram line. We are also close to the ring road & an extensive motorway network, which puts all of Manchester & the North West easily within your grasp. Day trips can easily be taken to The Lake District, North Wales, Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, Liverpool, Chester, Leeds, York & Blackpool are all less than two hours away by car. We are also just 10 minutes away from the airport.

Manchester is a fantastic city to visit, steeped in history being the birthplace of the industrial revolution, we are surrounded by wonderful country houses to visit & there are many art galleries & museums. We have two world famous football teams, are the home to the national football museum, Lancashire County Cricket & the Velodrome (where British cycling is based). The city has many great theatres & venues for concerts including the famous Bridgewater Hall. There is shopping galore in the city centre, the Trafford Centre & Salford Quays where Media City is also based.


West Didsbury is a very vibrant & exciting area with a real sense of community & a destination in it's own right. Some of Manchester's top restaurants are located in the area & we have a fantastically eclectic mix of bars & wonderful independent shops. The river Mersey & water parks are only a short walk away & you can go walk / run / cycle along the banks or even take a canoe trip which is a great way to see the wildlife!

Went here last week with 2 small kids and absolutely loved it. What a little gem of a property, fantastic location for kids with parks and kid friendly cafés but also on tram line into town and 2 parking spaces if you need them.

We were made very welcome with lots of friendly advice on what to do on the area but also really enjoyed the house itself which is finished to the highest of standards. There is a gorgeous family bath upstairs, overall boutique is the word for it... If you have kids and miss staying in unique or slightly different places this is perfect as it is child friendly too.

Can't fault it, highly recommend it, if we're ever back in Manchester we'd stay again for sure!

"Looking forward to going back"

I was delighted that my friends and visitors,the Barras Family,stayed at 129 Didsbury for 5 nights in August 2013.They confirm the following - 'The property is absolutely beautiful and the kids fell in love with it at once. It is perfectly kitted out in every room and was very comfortable and pretty quiet despite being not far from a couple of quite busy roads.
The proximity to West Didsbury shops and cafes was great. You can literally walk 30 yards and there is the most wonderful café doing amazing breakfasts. Another 50 yards and there is a very well stocked Co-op and a number of other shops ,bars, restaurants and cafes.
A bit further up the high street is the tram stop which takes you straight into Manchester.
There are walks and runs nearby (car not needed) and a host of other things to do. The parking, with enough space for two cars, was very convenient and felt very secure, the proximity of a large police station probably contributing to that somewhat.
The owners live very close by and David was very welcoming and extremely helpful throughout our stay.
129 Didsbury really was a very comfortable and convenient place from which to explore Manchester and we would be very happy to return.'
I am very happy that my friends liked this fantastic property so much and thank David for all his help arranging this, he was very straight forward to deal with.

"Superbly designed and well equipped house, ideal for small family"

Great location in suburban Manchester with shops, bars and quality restaurants a stone's throw away. The property itself is immaculate and equipped with top quality houseware from top to bottom. The move-in and move-out was straight-forward if and when we are next in Manchester we will not hesitate to book again should it be available. Full marks on each and every basis.
