Mayar Bhan is an architect designed eco home built in 2005, and finished to a very high standard. The house has been simply but tastefully decorated with double glazing and underfloor heated wooden & tiled floors throughout, supplemented by a cozy wood burning stove for the winter. It is fitted with a high quality kitchen, and all 3 bedrooms have en-suite facilities. The conservatory area provides additional space for relaxation.
The house sits in a private, fully enclosed garden with decks accessed from the patio doors in the living area providing stunning views over Gruinard Bay, which can also be enjoyed from the upstairs bedroom balconies.

Facilities are for 6 people, but a travel cot and high chair are also provided.
The accommodation includes 2 en-suite double bedrooms and 1 en-suite twin bedroom, kitchen, living area, conservatory (with dining area), WC and utility room. All the en-suites have a shower and the downstairs bedroom also has a bath. The downstairs WC and bedroom is wheelchair accessible. The utility room provides storage for coats, shoes etc.
An ipod player, digital radio and tumble drier are also provided in addition to facilities detailed above.

The property sits in approximately 1 acre of private fully enclosed garden laid mainly in grass with decking on both sides of the house. Outdoor wooden furniture and BBQ are provided. Ample off road parking is available within the property boundary. A large lockable shed is provided for storage of bikes and outdoor equipment.
Conditions
A £150 non refundable deposit is required to secure any dates, with the balance due 8 weeks prior to arrival.
On balance payment, a good housekeeping bond of £150 will also be requested. This will be returned immediately after the property has been checked at the end of the let. However, if any damage over and above what is deemed normal wear and tear is found, then the owners reserve the right to retain all or part of this deposit to cover the damage.
The Scottish Highlands region


The Scottish highlands have a huge variety of stunning mountain, valley, and beach scenery all steeped in hundreds of years of history. Whether you are looking for an activity packed holiday or relaxing break, the highlands has something for everyone throughout the year.
The Gairloch / Gruinard Bay area
To keep the kids entertained, there is Laide, Gruinard and Mellon Udrigle beaches nearby plus many more in the area; a public swimming pool in Poolewe and leisure centre, horse riding and pitch 'n' putt in Gairloch. If you are interested in wildlife, there are Sea Eagles on Gruinard Island, Whale & Dolphin Watching at Mellon Udrigle, wildlife cruises from Gairloch, and lots of deer and birdlife. If you are looking for outdoor activities there is mountain biking; some great hills, mountains and beaches to walk, and sea fishing. If you are interested in the flora and fauna, there is Inverewe Gardens at Poolewe (National Trust) and the Beinn Eagh nature reserve.
In addition, there is a wide variety of cafes and restaurants in the area such as the Old Inn, Mountain cafe and The Sheiling in Gairloch; the Badachro Inn; the Bridge coffee shop in Poolewe, and the Drumchork and Aultbea hotels in Aultbea.
The garage in Laide (1 km) has a good selection of groceries; Aultbea (5 km) has a grocer and butcher, and Gairloch (22 km) has a further selection of shops for groceries and provisions.

We can accept payment by cheque or internet bank transfer in GBP. Paypal service available but will incur a surcharge.
Change-over day is Saturday - departures before 10am and arrivals anytime after 4pm
