The Scottish Highlands region

The Scottish Highlands is one of the most beautiful and unspoilt areas in Britain. It has an abundance of stunning scenery from mountains to the secrets of Loch Ness! The Highlands is paradise for those seeking outdoor pursuits or indeed for a simply relaxing break.

Take in the history of the area from Culloden Battlefield to the many Castles available to visit or chill out with some music at the famous Rock Ness Festival or our popular family Tartan Heart music festival at Belldrum outside Beauly.

Beauly

We are centrally situated for touring the Highlands as well as only being a mile or so from the beautiful village of Beauly which boasts a variety of shops, cafes, and restaurants. Our local Pipe Band and Highland Dancers perform in the square every Thursday evening throughout May-September.

There is fishing, bird watching, golf, pony trekking, lovely walks and drives all around the area. The stunning scenic beauty of Glen Affric is only a 20 minute drive up the glen - ideal for some walking/cycling and taking in the breathtaking Scottish scenery. Or simply watch Red Kites soar overhead from the comfort of the house!

For dog owners it is ideal as there are numerous walks literally on the doorstep or larger walks up to Loch nam Bonnach which also has a small fishing boat for day hire and is stocked with brown trout.

Fishing permits are also available to purchase for the River Beauly which boasts some of the best salmon fishing in the Highlands.

Week beginning 8th July sees the start of Beauly gala week with a variety of activities for both children and adults.

The first week in August sees the very popular Black Isle Agricultural Show which is only 2 miles away.
