“Luxury!” We stayed in the cottage for one fantastic week in March 2013. From the moment we arrived we felt very welcome and a lot of thought has clearly been put into the cottage. Bernera is a fantastic location, we enjoyed exploring the island with it's beautiful beaches and walks. The cottage itself is well equipped and designed, has a wood burning stove and lovely views over the bay. The weather was great and the northern lights were even on display during our visit. Couldn't recommend this place highly enough!

“Quiet, relaxing, beautiful, friendly and unique” Our stay at Valasay was wonderful. When we arrived anne had a lovely fire lit for us which made the cottage even more cosy. So much so that we had to prise ourselves out each day. The scenery in Lewis and Harris was quite unique and absolutely gorgeous. Each night after dinner we all went for a walk to one of the lovely beaches/coves just to sit quietly. We did not chat to each other as it was so lovely just to take in the spectacular views and listen to the silence which is so lacking in our lives today. Then there was Riley and what a lovely, sweet, friendly dog he is too. We spent a lot of time playing with him and will miss him terribly.
