“Perfect sanctuary in which to explore south east England” After a multi-stage trip from San Diego, California we were thrilled to find a cozy, well-appointed sanctuary awaiting us in the form of Little Saxby's Apartment. We had seen the photo's on the website but the apartment exceeded all our expectations and was very comfortable for 2 people for our stay of 5 nights. It is equipped for short or long term stay and the variety of kitchen appliances allowed us prepare all types of meals. A nearby Waitrose supermarket in Edenbridge (4 miles) offers an extensive variety of fresh food and many British and International ready-made meals that were easy to prepare in the apartment kitchen. There are many pubs and restaurants within easy reach of the apartment (by car) and we were impressed with a Thai restaurant called Sucheera in Tunbridge Wells. A very friendly, family run business in the heart of the town. A key reason for us in picking the apartment is its location for touring the many historic castles, homes and gardens in the south east of England. I would strongly recommend a car as the area is generally rural, so it would be quite a challenge to try to organize public transportation to get to all that the area has to offer. There is a nearby rail station in Cowden which will get you directly into London in around 45 minutes; this is by far the best way to get into London. Don't drive in! Overall, we were very impressed with all aspects of the apartment, although we did wish the clothes closet in the bedroom was just a bit bigger. The owners, Louise and John, are super friendly and very welcoming which helped to make our stay that more enjoyable. Thank you both and we will certainly recommend your apartment to our friends & family in the US and UK and we look forward to staying there again in the future.
