Tremorna has a truly special location, with superb views and a calm and peaceful atmosphere, and a large private water frontage with steps down to a private quay and direct access to the shore - making it virtually unique even in such a specially beautiful place as Helford.

The cottage is family owned and has been used by current owners, children and grandchildren as a holiday home for nearly 50 years, and is much loved by all of us.

The Helford River is a magical area for sailing, boating, walking, swimming and general outdoor relaxation. The famous gardens of Trebah and Glendurgan are a short ferry ride away, and sand and shingle beaches, woods and cliffs are minutes away by footpath or boat. The whole of the glorious Lizard peninsula lies within about 20 minutes' car journey.

Tremorna sleeps six comfortably in one double and two twin bedrooms (one of which has beds which can be linked into a double). There's also a roomy and dry summer house in the garden with its own sofa bed (great fun for the more adventurous to sleep here, just yards above the high tide).

The cottage has a sizable kitchen with dining area, plus a spacious sitting room with a lovely open fire. There's a washing machine and tumble dryer, TV, portable speakers and microwave. Upstairs there are three comfortable bedrooms, all with wonderful views down the estuary, and a bathroom with a bath and shower.

As well as off-road parking for two cars, there is a large, secluded garden overlooking the estuary in complete privacy. The main garden is accessed through a gate a few steps across the tiny lane in front of the cottage.

The garden contains fruit trees, a large lawned area, and a patio in front of the summer house, with table and chairs and marvellous views of the creek and estuary, ideal for sitting or snoozing. The garden descends via steps to the stone quay, and from there steps lead down to the shore. At high spring tides the water laps halfway up the quay, and if you're adventurous, you can jump into the water from on top of the quay. BR>

    How do damage deposits work?

    You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Piers (the owner) a message.

    If Piers (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
