“Beautiful townhouse on the best complex in Tavira - highly recommend.” The Owner, Management Team where great from start to finish.
This really is a beautiful modern town house in a perfect and safe little complex. It has everything you need and is a short 10 minute walk to the centre. It makes a great base to explore Portugal and Seville is only an hour and a half away which is a highly recommended visit .
Tavira is stunning and this was our fourth visit to the complex and we were not disappointed.
“Amazing stay” My family and my parents have been visiting Portugal for the past 10 years and this 3 week stay was the best. The accommodation was perfect in a number of ways. My husband and I had with us our 3 children aged 13, 8 and 7 and my parents. The property was large and on 3 floors which meant everyone had their own space and bedroom ( all had an en suite bar 1 ). The interior was to a very high standard and had lots of storage space. The utility in the basement was perfect to for storing cases and beach things.
Very social layout on the ground floor, the kitchen led into the dining and lounge area which was great. Sky TV was fab for the children as the large choice of movies game them a retreat from the sun in the afternoon for a while. Ground floor terrace was perfect for young children as it sat next to the pool which meant you didn't have to sit at the pool, you can see them from your terrace. Pool got very busy on occasion but it didn't affect us as we only went to the pool area to swim. We had great trips out, dolphin watching, water parks, Lake, Tuk tuk tours and too many more to mention. Great information book in the property which lists all the best restaurants, trips etc.
We will be returning.
“Not too far out from the centre of Tavira but quite a few steps to negotiate, not suitable for the elderly or disabled” The apartment was clean and a reasonable size for a small group. A few things not good. The television and DVD player did not work, evidently because a code had not been put in previously, and the tv engineer was in the UK. We were the first to rent the apartment this year but it would have been better to put these things in order before we arrived.
Also, we were not given the apartment's number and the taxi driver was not able to take us directly to it. We eventually found Margarita, who had the key, but it was still a stressful experience.
Tavira was an interesting and unspoit town and worth a visit. There is a train and taxis are not too expensive to get around. We liked Santa Luzia, and there is a good walk from Vila Real to Monte Gordo through Chameleon pine woods.
“I would definetly return..” We stayed for 2 weeks in Terracos da Vinha. We hired a car and had about a 20 minute drive from Faro airport. The accommodation is off very high standard and well equipped . A few metres and you are in the pool. The pool was heated and there was always plenty of sun beds, there was also extras at the villa if needed. We had air conditioning which was most welcome as it was in the 40's whilst there. We loved having the choice of different eating area, on the balcony,on the patio and inside . Our children15&13 liked the egg chairs and the sofa on the patio. we enjoyed using the bikes to ride to the beach, as there was four of us,another bike would of been useful at times. We were able to play table tennis. Our beds were changed once whilst we were there.
We liked the Wifi, though I am not sure the children were as keen as there was a limited download amount and we were requested not to watch videos. However it was more than enough for general browsing
We visited the Marina which is a 20 minute walk from the villa. We enjoyed a pleasant evening stroll most evenings. We went to the Natraj Indian ,Tuttapanna Italian all very good meals.
We visited Aquashow water park and we had a Seafaris boat trip. We drove up to the highest point in the Algarve Mount Foia. All worth a visit.
We enjoyed using the electric juicer to have freshly squeezed orange juice most mornings.
All round great place to stay, and would not hesitate in recommending Terracos da Vinha 2 one
“Fantastic property” The house was beautiful, situated within a compound of other villas at the very end. The pool was absolutely fantastic, and the gardens surrounding the property were completed and maintained to a very high standard. The high standard continued inside, everything in the house was done to perfection and was absolutely spotless. The amount of space was great especially travelling with a pretty large group, and all facilities as mentioned were there and available, one of which we couldn't have lived without, the air-conditioning, was fantastic, as every habitable room was equipped.. The only downfall to this property was its location, but the owners cannot be blamed for this as it points out more than once its location to amenities and that a car is advisable, but other than this it is faultless, we all had a fantastic stay and would definitely return to this property. I recommend that anyone travelling to this villa choose the airport pick-up that's offered when booking.
“Nice area, good complex, great villa.” Got to the complex in the evening and were met, checked in and settled very quickly. Apartment very nice with plenty of space. Balcony on first and second floor to sit out on and air conditioning to keep the inside cool. Complex had a friendly bar serving food, cash point and great pool to relax beside. Small village nearby (approx 10 min walk) with beach front shops and restaurants. Short water taxi ride (€0.75 per person per trip) takes you to a fantastic beach. Lots of small towns, villages, golf, shopping and water park within 40 minutes car journey.
