“No title could do justice...” No title could do justice to the experience of staying here. Pauline was a great host; helpful, on hand when needed yet unintrusive. She gave local recommendations when asked for and was a breeze to communicate and organise with. It is hard to appreciate a good host until one experiences to the contrary, but we were in very good hands from start to finish. The farmhouse itself is beautiful, quite classically decorated and the rooms are well-appointed. If you're reading this then I'm guessing you want to know whether or not you want to stay here. Here are some things which may help. Highlights (for us): - the gas BBQ & grill on the patio - the incredible view, including sunrise from the balcony. - the location is so peaceful but so connected for when you want (see below). No disturbances. - within hazy-stumbling distance of Xaghra Square (honestly 7, straight-line minutes), Ramla Bay (20) and some really old ancient things (10). - air conditioning - spacious, not just in sleeping capacity but also in living areas i.e. kitchen and living room. It can entertain as many as it can sleep. - Gozo transport is incredibly cheap, efficient and good quality. - the local community are warm, good-humoured and friendly. Some things to be prepared for: - mosquitos will have a go, unless the farmhouse is since equipped with nets, guards or working deterrents. - that's about it. In case it's helpful - we're in our mid-twenties. We saw mostly older families/friends here (and not overrun with tourists in May/June). We found Gozo & Malta neither too quiet nor too hectic, and with plenty of room for either extreme if you so desire. Take a good book for the poolside and go clubbing in La Grotta on Friday night/morning. Gozo is beautiful. You should go. Just leave room for us.

“A Perfect Stay” Spent the last week of September as a workation for a small firm of eleven. The week was used as a mix of business and pleasure to which the house was a perfect fit. Both the house and the location really is a find. A special thanx to the host Amanda who took care of all our need - from finding a chef to arranging local transports. One of those rare finds!

“Oh so comfortable villa - and that pool!” A wonderful, private and oh so comfortable villa - and that pool! We enjoyed 8 days of peace, quiet and comfort staying in Ta Berta in Sannat. The welcoming Sam and Michelle have created a fantastic home away from home. Thank you for everything. You guys are the best!

“Lovely villa and we were well looked after by Melita the owner.” June 25th 2016 - July 9th 2016 We are regular visitors to the wonderful island of Malta, know and love it. We travel as a large family group of 10, ages ranging from my wife's parents who are in their 80's through to our youngest son who is 16. We have booked hotels and villa's previously but must say that this rates as the best villa we have had the pleasure to stay in. The pool is good with easy access into the shallow end for juniors/seniors sloping gently to the deep end and the smaller splash pool is great to just relax in. The pool building has a shower/toilet one end that is useful in eliminating the need to walk through the apartments when you are wet and a washing machine in the other end. The gardens are well set out around the pool area and maintained well. The layout of 3 separate apartments worked well for us, allowing privacy and space for all. With each apartment having its own bathroom and kitchen, mornings worked well as there was no long queue for the bathroom or for the kettle. When not dining out we split the cooking across the 3 apartments and then dined al fresco by the pool in the shade. Local services such as supermarkets, restaurants, bus stops etc. can be reached with a 5 minute walk. I did hire a small car locally as this made it easier to ferry the more senior members around as well as fetching the required supplies from the supermarket as bottles of water, milk and supplies for 10 people are not light to carry in 36' temperatures I am an early riser so frequently met up with the owners husband who would be carrying out pool cleaning duties just as the sun was rising ensuring the pool was in tiptop condition every day. I would have no problem recommending this villa to friends or colleagues and would not hesitate to return again with my family. Lovely well maintained villa and we were well looked after by the owners, Thank you Melita.

“Very good villa, would recommend, will go back.” You really need a car to get anywhere on the island, but local amenities excellent, Bar, pub/restaurants, The X Keys, and Chinese and bakery excellent, and all within a 5 minute walk. Bus stop also 5 minutes walk away Owners very helpful, and on hand at all times. Pool very good and being extended over the winter months. Villa excellent with everything you could possibly need, would recommend for a good quiet location.

“Wonderful holiday!” We stayed in Doriannes farmhouse late august 2012 for 12 nights. Two families, 6 teens and 4 parents. Dorianne could not have been more helpful from the initial booking process right through to departure. If you want a quiet break Gozo is for you! I would say a car would be a must so that you can visit all the beaches, sightsee etc but before you book in UK ask Dorianne to get a price for you from Franky who will also organise airport pick up from Malta to Gozo and then have your car delivered to the Farmhouse. Everywhere really is only 10 mins drive but I guess it would be a 40 min trek walking to any beach. Having Victoria on the doorstep was wonderful & we recommend locally La Stanza, It Tokk and Patricks Lounge Restaurants (you can walk to these from the Farmhouse) Highly recommend taking a boat trip around Gozo, (ask Franky to organise/get a cost for you or easy to do yourself from the Harbour. The sea and coast are stunning and the sea really is turquoise! Dorianne left a starter pack of bread cheese and ham & some homemade wine on arrival which was a lovely start to the holiday. The Farmhouse is basic, but was clean spacious and covered all our needs! When we wanted more salad bowls Dorianne happily supplied. The pool is wonderful. Our only recommendation to Dorianne would be to add some greenery/colour plants to soften the outside pool area along the walls as it is very stark without any greenery. The garden at the back of the house was lovely to sit out in the evenings but would benefit from having chairs and a small table with umbrella so you can use in the day & at night so you can appreciate the view which you don't get by the pool. “terrific ....” The villa, the place, the sea, the island and of course our host Fiona .... terrific .... it was like a dream come true. My princess and me stayed five incredible days and nights at the Villa Aurelia. A space miracle insight, a place to fall in love with the sun and blue sky every day again .... since we had 11 days at Malta in total we decided to enjoy the Villa as good as we can .... we had breakfast at the morning in this incredible open space kitchen, we were swimming in the pool at day and at night, we enjoyed the sun dancing on our skin and we loved to be in the jacuzzi late evening ... just the moon watching us .... this villa is made for love ..... go and get there, you will be excited what that place will do with you .... “Beautiful, historic place” Ta Torri is the most incredible place - full of history and character. We loved every aspect and are desperate to return. The garden is huge and full of incredible trees and plants with the most fabulous vistas. We were absolutely thrilled to find the chameleons in the bushes! It was a bit cool for the pool but it looked lovely. There were so many places to sit and enjoy the sun and plenty of garden furniture and loungers. I loved reading about the history of the house and seeing the photos of its restoration. I have been telling all my friends to go.

“Lives up to expectation” Beautiful villa just as pictures and brochure illustrated. We had an amazing time with family and friends. The villa is beautiful and David & Jane looked after airport pickups and excursions to make the holiday hassle free with lots of great memories.

“The Villa and the help of the owner made our holiday perfect” We stayed in the Villa with our whole family because of our 40th marriage day. There were 7 adults and two grandchildren of 1 and 3 years. We all enjoyed our stay very much. The house is really big, so everyone can be on his own or together in the splendid living room or even bigger kitchen. Everything was there, we only missed a mixer to make whipped cream, but I am sure the owner has already brought that in order. The two swimmingpools were great and because of the high temperature (29'0 it was great. The outside pool is really large! You can swim in it for exercise and make a lot of fun! I could go on, but please find out yourself! It is really worth the money you spend!

“Fabbo Villa near St Julians” Villa Sunnyside is a perfect holiday place for a group of friends (10 or so) or couple of families with kids. The area is nice and quiet, distance from St Julians ok and even some shops and resto's just near by from walking distance. Own pool area, and dowstairs gym, disco and playroom makes sure there is something to do for everyone. The upstairs en suite bedroom worked really well with our groups honeymooners (photo enclosed). The "landlords" David and Jane where both very helpful and everthing requested was handled quick and easy. Extra thanks goes to our private driver Miguel who took us always when needed, where ever needed.
