“fantastic farmhouse.” stayed at farmhouse in gharb,very peaceful .beautiful rustic building 4 lovely bedrooms ,cool courtyard to cool down from the hot sun. stunning pool and baby pool. plenty sun loungers .wi-fi in the living room all rounded off with a good well equipped kitchen.. stunning beach at ramla bay. and a lovely small town called xlendi filled with fish and steak restuarants all nestled in a secluded bay. victoria is the main shopping area only 10 mins away on the bus which is very cheap.the crossing on the ferry was also very nice from malta only 25 mins would highly recomend this property ,if you want a relaxing holiday on the gorgeous island of gozo.
“most welcoming friendly village where the villa is located” the villa was spotless the photo's do not do it justice everything is ether half an hour on a bus or five min was from the villa
the restaurants in the local village where excellent we did not have one bad meal and they were all very child friendly
“The perfect getaway and most authentic area of Malta” We stayed for 9 days in Malta and spent a dream holiday in the loft. The interior design was exquisite as the owners are architects and designed everything themselves. The outer areas (sun deck, patio and roof top) were great to relax. We also very much enjoyed the outdoor shower on a hot day. As there are walls all around the loft, you can truely enjoy your privacy. The accommodation had everything we needed and the owners were really kind and helpful and shared their insight knowledge with us - best beaches, feasts etc.
We also chose this area as it is off the beaten track and there is not much tourism around. On the other hand, everything we needed was nearby. There is a supermarket around the corner and even a bus stop would have been available. We would recommend getting a car though - it's really worthit and handy to discover the nearby beaches whenever you need to cool down and want to jump into the water.
We discovered the real authentic Malta and had a fantastic holiday. We would definitely come back to the loft.
Thanks again to the owners!
“Fantastic house in a lovely area” We were greeted by Anthony on our arrival. He showed us around his beautiful house before leaving us to explore. We were provided with a welcome pack which included; milk, eggs, ham, cheese and bread and a wonderful bottle of home made wine which was such an unexpected but lovely gesture.
The house was immaculate and fully equipped for my us and our two children (aged 14yrs and 8yrs). It gave us enough space to relax and allowed us to enjoy a real family holiday together. The pool was a god send in the hot days, it was difficult to get our youngest out of there. We also enjoyed the BBQ area, often eating & relaxing on the roof during the cooler evenings whilst watching the numerous firework displays across the island.
As we were in the house over a week, Anthony and his wife came (by prior arrangement) to change the linen, they are both very friendly and accommodating and they even gave us a home made Malta cross which we found very touching. We have had to pay up to 80 Euros for linen service at previous accommodation but this was included in the agreed price here.
We have stayed both on Malta & Gozo many times but this property was by far the best value for money that we have come across. We thoroughly enjoyed are time here and would definitely recommend this to anyone.
“Great location for relaxing or exploring, lovely Gozitan farmhouse” I’ve just returned from a week on Gozo with a group of friends (five in total) at this lovely farmhouse in Xaghra. It was large enough to give us space to be apart, yet also to eat together at either the kitchen or patio tables; the kitchen has been very recently refurbished to a very high standard, and includes a dishwasher to save time on mundane chores. The area around the pool is spacious, with high quality loungers, umbrellas, sofa, coffee and dining tables, plus a barbecue: the pool itself was a little on the chilly side for me after one of the regular cleanings, as it’s fed from an underground well and that water is cold… but it was only May and it quickly warmed up a few degrees in the continuous sunshine we enjoyed. The bedrooms & bathrooms are well equipped and all window have mosquito screens.
It is perfectly situated to use as a centre to explore the island, which at roughly 8.5 miles by 4.5 miles is entirely walkable if you enjoy that sort of thing – the nearest beach, at Ramla, is only about an hour on foot at a relaxed pace. It is only a few minutes’ walk from the main square, and a selection of reasonably-priced restaurants with excellent food – I’d personally recommend Oleander on the square (especially their daily fresh fish), and the nearby Xi-Xi Chinese restaurant. There are also handy food shops, including a very nice bakery & sandwich shop (Stephen’s) and a nearby mini-supermarket.
Car rental is not really necessary, as the bus service (which includes an open-top hop-on, hop-off bus touring the island) is regular & comfortable. But if you’re minded to explore wonderful locations such as Mdina, the Mosta Dome or Mellieha on Malta itself, then a car may be handy – Brits will be pleased to know that the Maltese drive on the left!
The owners, Ginette & Barry, have very helpfully provided a folder containing useful information, including a history of the farmhouse itself, and specific features to look out for. It was remarkably easy to book the farmhouse online, and Ginette was very helpful in responding swiftly to emails and also providing information on bus & ferry times to assist with our journeys to & from the airport.
An excellent holiday and I look forward to a return trip.
“excellent place to stay” Make sure you look into a good car hire place and explore the island. The farmhouse is a brilliant base to visit all of this island as its pretty central. Lovely beaches close by also an excellent place to just relax in for the day.
“Great family holiday - ideal location” Tan-Nanna was spacious and clean and located in a quite village not far from Victoria and in an ideal location from which to explore the island from. This was our first visit to Gozo and we were not too sure what to expect but the whole family thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of our stay. We would love to return to the island one day and would definitely consider staying at the Tan-Nanna farm house again.
“Nice farmhouse, highly recommended” Very nice farmhouse with new furniture located in a very quiet location. A very enjoyable stay for anyone renting out the farmhouse.
WiFi is also available .
3 ensuite bathrooms but no common bathroom
Backyard/Pool area has a high wall which reduces sunshine hours.
We were offered a very good service
overall, it was great experience
“Lovely house, great facilities, friendly and helpful owner and all at the right price! What more could you want?” This house is perfect for groups of friends(as we were) or families with children who do not need to be supervised (ie toddlers). The pool is fantastic in the heat of the day. the balconys have amazing views. The location as with all places on gozo is very close to everything. though car hire is a must as it makes getting around the island much much easier.
this was my 5th time on gozo and I would say its by far the best farmhouse I have rented!!!!
“Superb holiday location for a relaxing break in the sun.” Just a quick mail to say how much we enjoyed staying at Ta'Vitor on Gozo. The house was one of the best that we have ever rented abroad, that nice mix of a traditional Maltese Farmhouse building with just the right modern touches; fitted kitchen, walk in showers and a private pool. What made a real difference was the help that the owners gave us in dealing with the few problems we encountered during our stay such as finding portable air con when granddad got too hot etc. We really miss Gozo now, the quiet tranquil beaches with excellent snorkeling and the great local restaurants and cuisine. We enjoyed the fish dishes at Xlendi and also the friendly shop owners in Ghajnsielem where we bought pastizzi, local bread and lots of local food. The Festa was awesome and we really enjoyed attending an all family celebration where everyone is happy and enjoying the spectacular fireworks and music with no fear of trouble.
We spent some great "quiet time" in the heat of the day and in the evenings at Ta Vitor, either in the pool or sat around it drinking cold Cisk and discussing what the next day would bring...always blue sky and friendly people.
Highlights for us:
Being met at the airport by the owners (Leo and Alice), when we were tired and hot, and bearing fresh pastizzi for the evening and leading us to the Gozo ferry;
Sunset over Gozo as we left Malta on the short ferry ride;
The first dip in Ta'Vitors pool to cool off with some food and cold drinks already in the fridge;
Watching the Festa from the various balconies that Ta'Vitor has.
Nothing in Malta seems to be too much trouble for the Maltese people and the world could learn a lesson from the genuinely friendly and helpful attitude shown to tourists.

“One of my best holiday” We spent a one-week-holiday in this property in June. It is an old, but renovated in an authentic stlye and it's so beautiful, clean and comfortable for ten people, too. The house and the garden lokks like an oasis with the pool, the flowers and the old olive tree. Most of the time we were in the garden, at the big wooden table and we used the barbeque every evening. The house was well-equipped, we had everything what we needed. Laura and her husband took care of us through the holiday, they helped us in everything, without dísturbing us. They brought us wine and fruit from their own.
We all enjoyed every minute of staying in this charming old house, we loved it very much. We would recommend this vacation rental to everyone.
