“Excellent” This was absolute pleasure: Jo and Terry picked us up from the airport and made us feel most welcomed from the first minute. The penthouse was as beautiful as described and contained all you needed - the terrace is big and sunny, it was nice to have breakfast on it.
Even though the penthouse is away from Valletta and is very peaceful, there is bus stops are just outside and they are easy way to explore the island with. There is also next door very nice rabbit restaurant - we ate there couple of times and recommend to test it.
Jo also booked for us taxi that took us to the airport when we left.
All in all we were very, very pleased with everything, and Jo was most helpful with everything and took care of us also during our stay. We can easily recommend this penthouse.
“Fantastic location and wonderful apartment for family holiday” We were really happy to spend a week at Doris's apartment. Everything was excellent : good location close to the sea, restaurants, shops and bus stop. The apartment was modern and clean and the top floor makes for excellent views and a breeze (but might not be best for small children). Doris kindly offered to collect us from the airport from a very late flight. Would recommend for anyone travelling to Malta.
“Great apartment” Lots of stairs but lovely apartment with views. Well equipped, modern and clean. Good location. The owner Ritienne and her husband are lovely & very good managers - picked us up from the ferry, gave us a tour of Marsalforn and lots of info. The diving is amazing on Gozo - John at Scuba Kings is great. The bus service is excellent, and a good way to see the island. Recommend Electra for pizza. Coin operated air con is being added to the apartment for the summer.
“Beautiful apartment with amazing balcony.” We were looking for somewhere a bit special as a base to explore Gozo and definitely found it! An absolute gem of an apartment, beautifully furnished but still welcoming. All our needs had been anticipated and then some, I never knew I needed a wine fridge until I stayed here!
An absolute bonus was the amazing balcony. The views were amazing and there were plenty of sunbeds and a shower to cool off. The bbq area is delightful and on a couple of evenings we opted just to stay at home and enjoy a relaxing meal on the terrace enjoying the sunset. The weather wasn't quite warm enough for us to brave the pool but it looked great!
Gozo was beautiful, we particularly loved the beaches at Ramla and Mgaar al Xini. Victoria and the citadel are worth a visit and Xagra itself is a lovely little town with some great places to eat.
Exceptional flat in a great location made for a really special holiday.
“Cosy, comfotable and convenient” Very well equipped apartment in great location. One direction to square the other to large supermarket and bus station. Great sun trap on terrace even for December (a parasol would be appreciated but may be available in high season). Toaster tricky to operate and one door handle needs attention as it comes off in your hand. Kylie took a note of this. Overall a great apartment. Would have no hesitation in returning.
“Fantastic little find in the sunshine” The owner couldn't do enough for us. At the end of the phone anytime.
Very nice welcome. Everything explained. Penthouse spotless. Linen. Pillows spotless.
Fantastic TV channels with films. Brittish TV. And all languages.
Flat very central and walking distance to restaurants. Bars. Gymn . Shops.
Would recommend and will be back.
Thanks for a lively stay.
“Fantastic apartment, beautiful views” We stayed for one week with our 3 young children. The penthouse is fantastic - well furnished and equipped and spotlessly clean, everything we needed to feel at home during our holiday. The views from the huge terrace are beautiful and it is an ideal place to sit and relax. The street below is busy but you don't really notice it too much from the apartment itself. The resort itself has plenty of good restaurants etc and there are lovely beaches and places to visit within easy driving distance. We have really enjoyed our break and will definitely be holidaying in Malta again. Thank you Karen! :0)
“modern luxury in a location full of culture” We had a lovely stay at the Penthouse Cottonera and recommend it to anyone planning to visit Malta.
We were welcomed by a friend of the owner who took time to walk us through the apartment, which really made us feel welcome. It had all the modern comforts of a luxury home, it was very clean, air-conditioned, had beautiful views and when the temperature dropped, we were able to relax in the hot tub on one of four terraces.
In terms of the location, you will be right in the heart of the three cities so you will get a good idea of how the locals live and be immersed in all the old architecture. It’s a short walk to the ferry stop and bus stops to Valetta and other central locations. It is also a short walk to the fabulous restaurants on the Birgu marina.
We chose this location as we were not interested in the new build condos and clubbing in Sliema or Paceville.
If you want modern luxury in a location full of culture, this place is for you.
“Great flat with wonderful sea views” Yvonne could not have been more helpful, before, during and after our holiday. She even booked our hire car and provided foodstuffs for our first day as well as a very welcome bowl of fruit. The location is first rate, the flat is extremely comfortable and well-equipped, right by the sea and in a quiet part of town yet with walking distance of local shops and restaurants. We had a lovely time.
“Wonderful!!!” Booking of the apartment was very easy and straight forward and the owners Andy & Claire were very helpful from the start til the end!
The apartment was very spacious, with one small balcony on one side of the property and a massive terrace on the other side where we spent most of our time sunbathing and relaxing in the jacuzzi spa. It is located in a nice quiet area, very peaceful overlooking Mistra Valley. The interior of the apartment was immaculate, very clean and tidy, kitchen offering the basic amenities that you would need for basic cooking. It was a very nice touch of the owners to provide you with some food essentials on arrival like bread, milk, butter, tea, coffee and some cooking condiments. There was even a small collection of DVDs available and also plenty of tourist information leaflets to help you plan your stay in Malta.
The only negative we found was the exterior of the apartment, the walls were a bit run down and chipped, they could do with a new BBQ as the one there was a bit rusty and the canopes/ awnings that were supposed to be there were broken and not usable so there was no way of getting some shade on the terrace as the sun was shining all day long on that side. This didn't really bother us because we wanted to sunbathe and the rest of the apartment was good and the owners were very helpful throughout our stay we cant really fault anything else!
