“What more do you need?” Dar il Gnejna made a homely and characterful base for us and our friends as we spent a week walking around the island. During the day we would discover new sights and hidden corners, then return for a refreshing swim in the pool and drinks on the roof-top terrace overlooking the fields down to Ramla.
Get up early in the morning and you can buy fresh fish in the village square, then leave it to marinade while you our out during the day and barbecue it in the evening by the pool; all washed down with an ice-cold glass of the local white wine - bliss!
“Luxury accommodation in a laid-back location.” My wife and I were travelling with my 90-year-old mother. When we were looking at booking Berta, Sam was concerned that Mum may not be able to climb the front steps or get in one of the free-standing showers. He even sent photos to help us make up our minds. We went ahead and booked for 5 days. We were met by Sam at the ferry and he took us for a quick tour of the area surrounding Sannat to show us food stores, eateries, etc. The photos do not do the accommodation justice. The pool and barbecue areas were secluded and inviting, the location was quiet and the washing machine and kitchen were a blessing. The WiFi was excellent. Service from Sam was first class. Nothing was a problem even when we extended our stay by another 2 days or when we had some relatives stay for a couple of nights. He was just like one of the family. Gozo is a beautiful island. There is so much to see, the people are friendly and the climate is mild in autumn. You could not go wrong by staying at Berta if you are going to Gozo.
“Fantastic Holiday - Perfect Villa” We stayed in Gozo at the end of May/beginning of June. We were a party of 4 adults and a 4 year old child. The owners of the villa, Pauline & Mario, made us feel very welcome, and were always on hand if needed.
The transport, arranged by Pauline, from the airport to the villa was faultless.
The villa itself was beautiful, Very spacious inside, and perfect for large parties and very well equiped.
The pool was a big hit with our daughter, who was the first one in every morning at 7:30.
We hired a car for a few days & visited Malta. We also purchased a weeks bus ticket (€6.50 per adult), which gave us unlimited travel around Gozo.
The village itself is quiet, but has a few restaurants anfd supermarkets. We had lunch a few times in the cafe/patisserie in the square by the church. Very good value & delicious cakes.
We used the Lighthouse supermarket, the fruit & veg market stall & the Aldi by Victoria.
For dinner, the best restaurant to visit is Tal Furnar. The food is delicious. We went a few times, and there were so many tasty things on the menu. The owners were very friendly, and we loved chatting with them. Portions are massive.
If it is a relaxing break that you are looking for, then Gozo is perfect.
“booked again for next year” we have just spent a wonderful 3 weeks at Tal Hamramann, one week on our own,one with my daughter and grandchildren aged 3 and 5 and one week with friends from Australia and everyone loved the farmhouse and had a great time.everything was on hand especially the owner Aaron who could not have been more helpful.,Abrahams supermarket is about 200yds,15 minutes walk at old peoples pace and your in the village square with a lovely church and a handfull of good restaurants, and Ramla bay,the best beach is 25 minutes walk downhill, never attempted the return 1.50 euros a day bus fare seemed the better option. So good we have booked for next year.
“AMAZING and cozy apartment” I stayed at this beautiful apartment in Qala in October and was simply amazed that these apartments really exist for rental !!!
This apartment exceeded my expectations and more ….. especially when you look at the technology that
the owner invested in this apartment. The sound system, Wii, satellite and TV done up to a very high standard.
It is amazingly cozy.
It’s a pity that I could not use the pool because it looked wonderful from the view in the lounge. The nice restaurants
that are only walking distance away serving really nice pizzas are a very big plus too
I would recommend this property ANY TIME !!
Well done and keep it up.

Villa was beautiful more than expected, sam and michelle were great and went above and beyond to make sure our stay was great, nothing was too much trouble. The villa had everything you would need was very spacious and the kids loved the pool.
There was a lovely balcony we could sit at in the evening watching the fireworks over Gozo and the beautiful lights in the towns and the Citedal was beautifully lit up at night.
We had a really relaxing week, thank you sam and michelle for the use of your beautiful villa. …
Ta' Peppi - Beautifully Converted Farmhouse
This farmhouse lives up to its description. It is beautifully converted
We were a large family group of 11 people who went to the farmhouse for a 60th birthday which Liliana was very accommodating with.
We spent a lot of time in the pool at the farmhouse which was lovely, and spent time exploring the various villages and festivals that are held on Gozo. It is a very busy and exciting island to explore. …
Gozo Malta - Luxury Apartment Fort Chambray
We spent 4 nights on Gozo, and could not imagine spending our time there at any other location. The condo is beautiful and spacious. It has excellent views to the north out of the kitchen, 2nd floor bedroom and balcony, as well as an even more dramatic view from the rooftop patio including the port. It’s pretty close to the bus line, about a 15 minute walk to the grocery store, as well as a reasonable walking distance to the harbor for food/drink/ferry – too far/steep to carry any luggage though. We really enjoyed the main pool area which was great for sunbathing as well as cooling off, and also offered scenic view of both Comino and Malta. If you walked around the exterior walls of the Fort Chambray property, you are treated to a marvelous look at the land/seascape from the south to the north/northeast. Our host Kenneth was also extremely helpful as well, meeting us at the airport with keys and allowing us to check in a bit early. We’re so pleased to have spent as much time as we did on the island and at the Fort, both had so much to offer, and we’d recommend them to anyone. …
RELAX in Fort Chambray
Lovely apartment, beautiful location
Excellent ground floor apartment with huge terrace. The Fort is a lovely setting and the pool area was fabulous. The apartment is well equipped and tastefully decorated. Unfortunately the air conditioning broke down... and although not ideal, it didn't spoil our stay. Anja did her best to sort things out and offered us compensation, which was appreciated. This was just one of those unfortunate things, and it would not put us off staying here again. I would recommend this apartment for anyone looking for a relaxing holiday in a beautiful location, with or without children. …
Charming farmhouse on the edge of an idyllic village
First and foremost, Marisa was the perfect host - helpful, friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
Sardinell was located on the outskirts of Gharb (15 minute walk into the village) set with in a quiet street. The farmhouse was rustic and full of charm. The outside area was secluded and quite private. The pool area was great (our boys loved it)and the views were stunning.
All the amenities - kitchen and bathrooms were all functional and the house was clean and tidy.
Gharb and the surrounding areas were less commercial and more scenic. We had the inland sea and the Blue Hole a 5 minute drive in the car.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this property. …
Amazing authentic Gozitan farmhouse
The house and outside space are amazing but the interior could do with a bit of TLC. We loved the pool area and it was lovely entertaining family in the evenings cooking on the barbecue and sitting around the pool. The interior of the house is dated and needs a refresh, particularly the bathrooms/showers. The air con in the bedrooms is very efficient. Gharb is lovely with some good restaurants. It's very easy to get about with buses passing the front of the house. All in all we had a great holiday. Perfect for a family with teenage kids. …
