“Luxury accommodation in a laid-back location.” My wife and I were travelling with my 90-year-old mother. When we were looking at booking Berta, Sam was concerned that Mum may not be able to climb the front steps or get in one of the free-standing showers. He even sent photos to help us make up our minds. We went ahead and booked for 5 days. We were met by Sam at the ferry and he took us for a quick tour of the area surrounding Sannat to show us food stores, eateries, etc. The photos do not do the accommodation justice. The pool and barbecue areas were secluded and inviting, the location was quiet and the washing machine and kitchen were a blessing. The WiFi was excellent. Service from Sam was first class. Nothing was a problem even when we extended our stay by another 2 days or when we had some relatives stay for a couple of nights. He was just like one of the family. Gozo is a beautiful island. There is so much to see, the people are friendly and the climate is mild in autumn. You could not go wrong by staying at Berta if you are going to Gozo.
“Fantastic Holiday - Perfect Villa” We stayed in Gozo at the end of May/beginning of June. We were a party of 4 adults and a 4 year old child. The owners of the villa, Pauline & Mario, made us feel very welcome, and were always on hand if needed.
The transport, arranged by Pauline, from the airport to the villa was faultless.
The villa itself was beautiful, Very spacious inside, and perfect for large parties and very well equiped.
The pool was a big hit with our daughter, who was the first one in every morning at 7:30.
We hired a car for a few days & visited Malta. We also purchased a weeks bus ticket (€6.50 per adult), which gave us unlimited travel around Gozo.
The village itself is quiet, but has a few restaurants anfd supermarkets. We had lunch a few times in the cafe/patisserie in the square by the church. Very good value & delicious cakes.
We used the Lighthouse supermarket, the fruit & veg market stall & the Aldi by Victoria.
For dinner, the best restaurant to visit is Tal Furnar. The food is delicious. We went a few times, and there were so many tasty things on the menu. The owners were very friendly, and we loved chatting with them. Portions are massive.
If it is a relaxing break that you are looking for, then Gozo is perfect.
“It was like going back in time!” Initially I must admit we were a little disappointed on arrival with the outside space as it was a bit overlooked (as it turned out there is nobody about to look!) The farmhouse itself was lovely and very well equipped. Perfect location for walking into the village square where there are a couple of bars and restaurants, supermarket and bakery. We did hire a car which was great for getting around the island, although it is not a necessity as there is a bus stop outside the house. Ramla Bay is a couple of minutes drive. There is a rooftop terrace with great view and the night sky is fantastic, needs a couple of deck chairs up there to relax on. Make friends with Menu across the road! very interesting chap with his own little museum of machinery. Gozo is like stepping back in time and once you get over the initial shock it really is quite lovely and the people are very friendly. We enjoyed our stay and would hope to return.
“booked again for next year” we have just spent a wonderful 3 weeks at Tal Hamramann, one week on our own,one with my daughter and grandchildren aged 3 and 5 and one week with friends from Australia and everyone loved the farmhouse and had a great time.everything was on hand especially the owner Aaron who could not have been more helpful.,Abrahams supermarket is about 200yds,15 minutes walk at old peoples pace and your in the village square with a lovely church and a handfull of good restaurants, and Ramla bay,the best beach is 25 minutes walk downhill, never attempted the return 1.50 euros a day bus fare seemed the better option. So good we have booked for next year.
“Pleasant Stay At A Rustic Farmhouse In Gozo” We enjoyed the12 days we spent at Anthony's house of character, in the quiet village of Gharb, on Gozo. There's space on the roof, with wide views across the fields to the ocean, and, on the other side, to other villages.
The custom stonework that Anthony created himself for the house is beautiful - a unique, spiral stone staircase leads up to the roof terrace; there are also stone wall sconces in the living room and kitchen, with subtle lighting behind them.
The pool area has hand-assembled stone walls, which cut down the wind on windy Spring days.
Anthony is a gracious and generous host - he gave us a hand carved gift, and a bottle of his home made wine.
Gozo is all about experiencing nature - we walked along a small road, which led out to breathtaking, expansive views of the cliffs on the north side of the ex-Azure Window, over fields dotted with poppies and wildflowers, leading down to the sea. This road is just a minute or 2 from the house, and provides great sunset views.
Tatita's and Millie Grazie are, by far, the best restaurants in the local area.
“We couldn't have been made more welcome.” We didn't really know what to expect as we chose this villa and destination rather quickly one morning after a brisk trawl of the internet. We couldn't have been happier. Right from the word go, the owner, Marvik, was in touch via e-mail making sure everything would run smoothy. He arranged transport to and from the airport which included the ferry. We arrived a little tired at 4 in the morning, but Marvik's mother, Victoria, was there to show us around the house. The Villa was spotless, as was the pool. The pair continued to be on hand throughout the week helping us whenever we needed. It turns out that Kercem is a very quiet part of the island and the nearest supermarket is a one hour round trip if walking. So we soon elected to hire a car (luckily one of us brought their licence). Marvik was at the end of a phone and had arranged a car to be delivered to our door within two hours. At a very good price.
So long as he'll have us (we did our best to keep the kids quiet around the pool) we'll be back.
“Wonderful vacation on Gozo” We have just come home after a wonderful week on the beautiful island of Gozo. WE were a group of 7 people staying at Razzett ta Marija and I was a little worried about the space being an issue, but we were surprised about how spacious the farmhouse really was. Plenty of room for everybody. We spent a lot of time in the courtyard, enjoying the pool and the sunshine. Gozo is a wonderful little island, much more relaxed than Malta and we are happy we chose stay on Gozo. Many thanks to Ginette for all the help, it made our arrival on Malta much easier.
“Great Traditional Gozo Farmhouse” The location was just right for us, with family staying nearby. The landlord was very friendly and addressed any issues immediately. The farmhouse is traditional Gozean with a modern touch. It was spacious inside and the pool was refreshing. We would definitely stay again.

What to Do
The island is also a great place for shopping due to the amount of market stalls, boutiques and gift shops filled with unique and quirky items. A fine place
Gozo is such a beautiful and relaxing place to spend some quality time, with family or friends, offering nice walks in the beautiful countryside. We arrived at the apartment at Fort Chambray 13A L where we had booked for 3 nights. The place was a haven. We found more than we expected. It was scrupulously tidy. We enjoyed lunch on the verandah every day overlooking one of the three pools. We even had internet near the pool as it is just a flight of steps away. In the evening it was even more enchanting with the lights on. It was a memorable break and we will surely return. Highly recomended. …

Sea Breeze Holiday Apartments
The owner Joe could not have been more helpful and apartment 3 was beautiful. However two small points worth mentioning. First there is no lift and no mention in the description of the 6 flights of stairs to get to it. This might be important to the elderly or those with some medical condition. Secondly the toaster, tv and WiFi modem are museum pieces. They work but erratically and often need some cajoling. Regardless overall we shall not hesitate to recommend highly …
