Linda Vista is a charming, spacious detached Victorian holiday house on 3 levels with private gardens to the front and the rear. The beach is a stone's throw from the front door and there are stunning sea views from many windows. There are plenty of traditional Victorian features and the individuality of the house adds to the appeal of this large property. It has a fantastic, bright kitchen and large rooms; perfect for gatherings of family and friends. You'll be spoilt for choice for recreational activities, with the beach practically in the front garden and The Glen Golf Club a two minute stroll from the doorstep.

Master bedroom with a super king sized bed which can be split into two single beds. Please let us know how you would like this room to be made up.

Ground floor sitting room :

The ground floor sitting room is furnished with sofas, a small table set in the bay window which seats 4. Enjoy the sea views whilst having your morning breakfast, tea or coffee.

Victorian scullery

There is a ground floor scullery, which has the old style Victorian overhead washing pulley, which ensures your washing is out of the way whilst it is drying. There is a washing machine plus additional sinks if you need to sort out your clothes. This room can be used as a group meeting place or somewhere for the children to be entertained on a rainy day, as there is a large table with chairs.

The large kitchen overlooks the West Bay known as Milsey Bay. It has a fridge freezer, double oven, large central island unit, dishwasher and washing machine, and is fully equipped with everything you will need for your self catering holiday. The sitting room has easy chairs at the large bay window, plus a two seater sofa, TV and DVD player. For that family gathering or simply for entertaining, there is a large extendable dining table which seats up to 10 people.

There is a private secure back garden with a lawn. To the front of the house there is a small garden area and a gate leading you onto Melbourne Road and across to the beach.

Please note that public parking in North Berwick can be complex as the rules vary according to season and year to year. We recommend following the signs upon arrival in North Berwick and also advise considering your options for this prior to check-in as it is unfortunately something we are not able to assist with on the day

With breath-taking views along the Firth of Forth and the tiny islands of Bass Rock, Lamb, Fidra and Craigleith, it offers an unforgettable holiday destination. Its vibrant high street, with its range of cafes, restaurants and stylish independent shops is a great place to browse. The beach is at the heart of the town and the charming harbour area, with its pretty beach huts and colourful boats, really adding to the seaside atmosphere. Must-see destinations nearby include The Scottish Seabird Centre, The National Museum of Flight, Tantallon Castle and of course, a day trip to the beautiful capital of Scotland.

You are required to pay a 20% deposit payment with a minimum payment of £150.00 or higher which secures the property, this payment is non refundable in the event of a cancellation.. Then, 42 days prior to your arrival date the balance will be payable with a separate refundable damage deposit of £250.00 due 7 days before your arrival date. Your refundable damage deposit will be held until you depart and then automatically refunded back onto your card within the week after you depart

Thanks for taking the time to review your stay. We agree that the location and views are unbeatable. As stated in our listing the property is a Victorian seaside home with features from that era. Had you been looking for something modern we would have advised that this property may not have been a suitable fit for you. However for £1400 for a week in summer (equating to under £17 per person per night) we would have been hard pushed to find you accommodation in a hostel.

We can only apologise that the cleanliness was not up to our usual standard - please be assured we will take this up with the director of the cleaning company. We are also currently liaising with the Property Owner to make improvements at the property and are also looking into working with an uplift company to resolve the issues of rubbish removal. How do damage deposits work?

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.
