In the heart of the Angus countryside our open-plan, fully modernised upper floor of stable/coachhouse is ideally located for exploring Angus, Aberdeenshire and Perthshire. On the outskirts of the Brechin a rural location with easy road access to Montrose, Forfar, Aberdeen, Dundee, and less than 2hr drive to Edinburgh or Glasgow. Great base for nearby pursuits such as walking, cycling, fishing, shooting, antiquing, golfing, horse riding or simply appreciating the surrounding countryside or visiting nearby friends and family.

Layout - spacious open plan lounge/dining/kitchen, with cloakroom at the entrance; double aspect bedroom. Ensuite shower room.

We also have travel cot for babies, advance notice necessary if extra bedding is required for the cot.

The Stable is Self Catering: tea & coffee are provided complimentary.

If prearranged at an agreed cost we can provide you with a continental breakfast selection to prepare at your leisure.

Linen provided, Feather duvet (alternative available for anyone with an allergy). Should you prefer to bring your own bedding and towels kindly let us know at least 72 hrs in advance.

With prior notice we can accept a small well behaved pet accompanying responsible owners, for an additional fee. There is a lovely walk on our doorstep.

Accommodation is located on first floor, therefore may be unsuitable for guests who have difficulty with stairs.

Nearby golfing is available at Brechin and Edzell Golf Courses, further afield are courses at Forfar, Alyth, Kirriemuir, Glen Eagles and Carnoustie.

Brechin Castle Garden Centre, Brechin Equestrian Centre, House of Dun and Langley Park Gardens are all close by.

We have a small single pullout bed in the lounge, if you are happy with this sleeping set up we can accommodate a child. If outside on the property, child should be supervised for safety reasons, we may have large gardening equipment etc around.
One small pet may be accepted for an additional nightly fee, prior agreement necessary. Owners must clean up their dog waste by bagging and binning it. Thank you

It was so nice to return to Brechin and to Well Cottage. It was as lovely as we remembered. The property was clean, warn and inviting.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Barbara (the owner) a message.

If Barbara (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
