Excellent stay all round, very comfortable, beautifully furnished and decorated for Christmas. Richard was perfect host, friendly and helpful without being intrusive. He made such an effort to ensure everything was to our liking. Would not hesitate to recommend or stay again, our expectations were very much exceeded.
Thank you for your most positive review after your stay at Marks @ The Manor over Christmas and New Year, I am so glad that you enjoyed staying with us. Thank you for acknowledging the standard of our furnishings and our M & S Christmas theme - we really did want to make this an extra special stay for you both after the long journey from Dubai and I am so glad that we exceeded your expectations. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. Kind Regards The Marks @ The Manor Team

We had a wonderful week's stay at Marks in May this year. The pictures really don't do justice to how beautiful this apartment is. It is tasteful and stylish and comfortable and incredibly well equipped: a cook and entertainer's dream and we did both! Our guests were so impressed they took photographs. I truly believe that the owner thought of everything when equipping and furnishing it. It is also well located with its beautiful river frontage, large supermarkets in walking distance and a bus stop near by. For the energetic it is a comfortable half an hour's walk into town. If we have one small criticism it is that the bedroom was a little hot. The window is broken and wouldn't open, and the duvet too thick: problems easily repaired by mending the window and providing a choice of cooler bedding. Having said this, we are planning another trip to Aberdeen in March and will definitely try to get this stunning apartment to stay in.
Thank you so much for your kind review I am so glad that you enjoyed cooking and entertaining whilst you stayed with us during your trip to Aberdeen. We pride ourselves in providing a unique contemporary solution to rental accommodation here in Aberdeen, so we are flattered by your “Hollywood Apartment” comment – thank you so much. I note your comments regarding our Marks & Spencer duvet which can provide two levels of comfort with a 4.5 tog and 9 tog by simply detaching either I will make a point of highlighting this to our guests to ensure their total comfort. The sash windows at Marks @ The Manor are the original large period windows and unknowingly the cord had dislodged which has now been replaced, thank you for pointing this out. We would be delighted to welcome you back to Marks @ The Manor in March when you return to Aberdeen in fact we are designing and planning Marks @ The Manor II which we will most certainly be ready for your return trip. Kind Regards from The Marks @ The Manor team

"Above and Beyond"
This was my second visit to Marks @ The Manor and it was every bit as delightful as my first visit. As a regular, solo business traveller to Aberdeen it is a rarity to find accommodation that is filled with as much charm and comfort as Marks is. The price is reasonable, on par with Aberdeen accommodation, but I think the experience is superior.
I opted for the food package and the wine and cheese selection. A choice of red or white wine plus a selection of delicious cheese, all from M&S, of course.
When I travel I look for accommodation that is comfortable, clean, safe and quiet and Marks @ The Manor ticks all of the boxes. The entrance lobby houses a large storage cupboard complete with iron and ironing board, sewing kit, clothes rail and central heating controls. All room lead off the lobby. The bathroom is modern and there are plenty of towels provided. (Bring your own toiletries). The double bedroom has loads of wardrobe space, a small television, dressing table and iphone docking alarm clock radio. And if you wake during the night you only have to look to the ceiling to see the time, projected. The open plan kitchen-dining-living room is spacious and the kitchen is very well equipped. Laundry and dishwasher tabs are provided. The barista machine is a Godsend first thing in the morning and offers a range of coffees. There is free wifi. If you have little to do in the evening, there is a massive 3d television and a selection of DVDs available.
I have found a lot of Aberdeen accommodation to be over priced and poorly maintained so to find somewhere I look forward to returning to, speaks volumes.
Thanks to Richard for the warm welcome - see you next time!
Thank you for your most complimentary review we are so glad that you rate us so highly, the array of additional Marks & Spencer food /gift packages are available to enhance our guests stay at Marks @ The Manor. We are delighted that you appreciated these additional options, more and more we are receiving positive reviews and feedback from business travellers as well as leisure clients and we are delighted that Marks @ The Manor appeals to all. We note that you complimented the extra features such as 3D TV, bedroom TV with DVD and coffee machine and are delighted that these additional items are fully appreciated. It was a complete pleasure to have you stay with us again and we look forward to welcoming you back to Marks @ The Manor again soon. We are planning Marks @ The Manor II with supreme luxury features and we would be delighted to welcome you as you as our guest in our second luxury riverside apartment in the same location to extend the availability of high quality, competitively priced accommodation in central Aberdeen. "Everything you could possibly need or want in superb surroundings!"
What an amazing place. My husband and I had the fortune of staying here for 2 weeks and we couldn't have wished for anything better. The friendly and efficient owner provided just the 'right' amount of customer service at our welcome and throughout our stay, when needed. On arrival at the property, our breath was taken away with the sympathetic, yet glamourous decor and how spotless it was. Every little detail had been thought about and a generous welcome hamper was waiting for us, you just couldn't wish for more. Perfectly situated by the River Dee this Manor House is within easy walking distance of the city centre and very easy to get to by car, with its own parking space. We LOVED staying here and would definitely stay again.
Thank you for your kind review, we are delighted that you enjoyed your stay with us and we would be delighted to have you stay again when you next Aberdeen. It was a pleasure having you stay with us and I am so glad you appreciated our attention to detail and would assure you of our continued commitment in maintaining these high standards to all our guests. Kind regards The Marks @ The Manor Team.

Richard Annand has a gift for making folks feel welcome and comfortable. He has created a truly unique contemporary home in a classic historic building overlooking the river, close to downtown but yet surrounded by gorgeous green landscaping. My husband and I spent an entire month in Scotland traveling over hill and dale but our week in Aberdeen at Marks@theManor was the finest.
Everything you could possibly need was at your fingertips. Any question we had was answered by Richard immediately. The kitchen was far better equipped than my own. Lighting, furnishings, linens, cutlery....everything surpassed any accommodation that we found the remainder of our trip. My advice is to make interesting Aberdeen, gateway to castles and distilleries, your destination and Marks@theManor your home.
Thanks for your most positive review, We are delighted that you enjoyed your stay at Marks @ The Manor and very much appreciate your feedback on our apartment. It was an absolute pleasure having you as our guests whilst you toured Aberdeen and Scotland. We'd love to have you back again in the future. Kind Regards, The Marks @ The Manor Team

"A luxurious apartment with a very thoughtful owner"
A stunning apartment overlooking the river which is quiet, but close to the city. The thoughtfulness and attention to detail shown by Richard in welcoming us and equipping the apartment so well were amazing. We watched movies through 3D glasses and enjoyed the technology when we weren't out exploring Aberdeen. Everything we needed was provided, and more and it was all spotlessly clean.
Thank you for your review it was great having you stay at Marks @ The Manor and we would be delighted to welcome you back when you next visit Aberdeen. I 'm so glad you enjoyed the apartment, the 3D TV/3D movies and products from M & S we always aim to cater for everyone so we are delighted that you found everything to your liking. After the favourable comments regarding the movies we are also adding a CD collection for our guests and this will offer a wide selection of renowned artists to choose from should you wish to relax to some music instead – where from ? M & S of course!! We hope to see you again soon with your family. Kind Regards, THE MARKS @ THE MANOR TEAM

"First Class Apartment - even better than the photos"
I have to say this is by far the best holiday apartment I have rented and only wish we had been staying for longer than a weekend. I also think it is very good value for money...we had been going to stay at the Malmaison, and for one of the larger rooms we would have been paying £350 a night and it wouldn't have been a touch on this apartment.
Everything has been decorated and kitted out to a very high standard, and there is absoultely everything you could possibly need...Richard the owner was exceptionally helpful picking us up from the station, and even leaving a gift to celebrate me and my husband's special birthday.
There is a welcome pack full of goodies and the fridge has fresh milk, juice eggs etc..nice touches like the heated bathroom floor and the luxurious bath robes were all well appreciated..as well as Wifi access and a massive TV and great sound system.
It is a very short walk to a massive Asda supermarket, and the River Dee is just across the quiet road if you want to take a stroll. It was a really peaceful location but only took a few minutes in a taxi to get into town, or sure you could have easily walked in 10mins.
Cant wait to go back...if you are staying in Aberdeen you have to stay here!
So pleased you enjoyed your stay with us, and your welcome back to stay longer next time! delighted you had a good time for your special occassion. We'd love to have you back soon.
