The Lodge is situated in the heart of the Lake District National Park at Limefitt in the Troutbeck valley. This is one of the most beautiful valleys in the Lake District yet very peaceful and relaxing. Many lovely Lakeland walks start straight from the front door of your Lodge. The Lodge is also close to the bustling towns of Ambleside, Windermere and Bowness. These Lake District towns have a large selection of shops, restaurants, bars and many other attractions for holidaymakers. Boat trips on the lake set off various piers on the Lake Windermere.
Limefitt park has a host of facilities for you to enjoy including a river pool, Lakeland pub, shop, adventure playground and nearby pony trekking centre. And of course the river winds through the park.
Prices are fully inclusive of everything need during a holiday - heating, electricity, bed linen and towels.

- Very Good
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay over Christmas. Special memories made as a family of four in this toasty cabin! I thought we might be cold but the underfloor heating was extremely warm. The cabin had every thing you need in it, even a small bottle of milk in the fridge. The location is beautiful and quiet, didn’t see any neighbours as the cabins are located in a private manner. The staff are respectful too of your privacy, only staff we saw was the men who came to clean the jacuzzi every morning, and they never looked into our cabin through the windows. The WiFi we paid for was not good at all and we could only use it by the reception gates, however it was very detoxing for us as a family, as no one was on their phones (kids are 12 and 13 years old) and the lack of WiFi brought us closer as a family as we played lots of good old fashioned board games! Definitely will be returning. Love love loved it : )

stayed 3 nights at Puddleduck. have stayed at Limefitt before in a more modern luxury lodge . Preferred Puddleduck as so cosy. loved the sound of the beck which was very loud in the rain . enjoyed the horses who came to say hello to us . my son saw 2 deer when he went walking in the woods on the site . had a trip on the Ravenglass steam railway. not cheap but fab scenery and worth it . the Churchill Inn Ambleside was good for a inexpensive pub supper and great fish and chips at the Little Chippy Winderemere . Sid our dog enjoyed himself too Thankyou
