Description from owner
Description
High Haven is a 21st Century architect designed contemporary home.
This is a stunning conversion of a thousand year old building by the architect owners who have carefully preserved the character of this medieval treasure whilst creating a generous contemporary home with all the comforts and facilities for modern day living.
Walking around the house you are constantly leaping back and forth across millennia… Beneath the fine old Victorian roof is a spacious and comfortable double-height living area focused upon the elegant Stuv woodburner by night, and countryside views through the 15th Century windows by day… Beyond the Romanesque Font are the clean lines of a generous dining area overlooked by a modern kitchen specifically designed to include the old oak altar… And overlooking the main entertaining spaces is a mezzanine gallery with two workstations leading to two small bedrooms in the eaves with fantastic views over the Preseli Hills… And if that wasn't enough there is the boutique hotel bathroom allowing you to daydream in the bath looking out through a medieval window!

Owner's reply: Hi Claire, Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are new to the market, so every insight from the guests point of view is valuable. We have a good relationship with our farming neighbours so I will broach the subject of their dogs with them. Could you give me more details on your thoughts for an enclosed outside space, size for example 9I must admit I'm not a dog owner). Did you find the garden furniture in the cupboard under the stairs? I should add a note to the welcome letter on their location. All the best, Charlotte
