If you would like to book this cottage and avoid the very high fees added for guests, please scroll down to below the description, it’s one I pay a yearly charge for so guests don’t have to and so it’s much cheaper to book there.

A unique and beautifully designed artist's cottage full of original and interesting features, with an idyllic, sunny and secluded raised garden. It is situated in a quiet lane close to the Barbara Hepworth and Trewyn gardens, and is two minutes stroll from the main shopping street, restaurants, and sandy beaches. It has two good sized bedrooms, comfortably accommodating four people. All of the windows have sea views and there is a sunny conservatory for dining in, and a hand made woodburner for winter evenings.

The sunny garden is both south and west facing. It looks out towards the harbour and is bordered by many beautiful flowers and interesting sub tropical plants. There is a curved, raised deck, also looking down to the harbour, which is a magical place to have breakfast on sunny mornings, or to lie out in the hammock under the tree which grows through it.

The cottage contains original artwork by various artists including the owner who works from one of the Porthmeor studios in St.Ives. Together with her husband who is a carpenter, they lovingly look after the cottage and it's garden themselves.The cottage has been stylishly renovated with a light and airy open plan feel with many sky lights and different levels giving it a distinctive and original feel. The many hand made features include the unusual woodburner and fireplace, hand-made tiled worktops and natural rose coloured slate floor in the kitchen, wooden shutters on the bedroom windows and hand-crafted woodwork throughout.

If you’d like to avoid the high commission charges on this site you can go to one I pay a yearly fee for and so it is free from extra fees for guests and quite a lot cheaper. It’s garden cottage stives (all as one word with the usual British ending)… sorry I’m not allowed to spell it out. How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Rachael (the owner) a message.

If Rachael (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
