This newly renovated property is a detached, modern house at the end of a quiet cul-de-sac only a 500 yards level stroll to the beach and the village. The secluded enclosed back garden is a sun trap, and inside it is warm and comfortable with new double glazing and central heating making it cosy all year round. The newly appointed and furnished open plan ground floor is perfect for a sociable holiday. Superfast WIFI, as well as books and a Bluray player will keep you entertained. You can chose to open up the patio sliding doors to the garden which is equipped with picnic table and BBQ. Upstairs the twin room has beautiful views over Baggy Point and its own family sized bathroom, whilst the double has a good sized ensuite with generous walk in waterfall shower. In the garage you can also store all your sports equipment and Croyde offers as much activity as you can take. U25yr groups strictly not allowed. The person who books is required to stay. The England region

Devon is a naturally beautiful area in the South West of England. Its north coast, where Croyde is situated, is fringed by the Atlantic Ocean giving any holiday that added opportunity for adventure fun and panoramic seascapes. The region is criss-crossed with walking paths and wild areas to explore whether it be through its impossibly pretty villages, coastal bays and miles of golden sand or on wind blown moorland. The main towns are Barnstaple and Bideford South Molton and Ilfracombe and provide opportunities for fine dining, Theatre, Cinema and Shopping. The nearest city is Exeter and there is a very picturesque train route there from Barnstaple which then links to the national network. The climate is generally warmer than other parts of the country being one of the most southern counties and this gives rise to some beautiful plantlife particularly in spring and makes going in the sea a much more pleasurable experience than in other parts of the country.

Croyde

Croyde is a large village following the curve of its wonderful sandy bay, one of Britais finest surfing beaches. It boasts a popular Thatched pub, several beach and surf related shops, good restaurants, 2 indoor heated leisure pools one of which is literally at the end of the road you will stay on. This also has a Gym, Jacussi and Sauna perfect for relaxing. There are lakes renown for wildlife, rock pools, and tea shops for the all important cream tea. You can hire a horse in Croyde and ride it through the surf for miles. The highly regarded golf course at Saunton is a 5 minute drive and you can pick up the coastal path 800m down the road. You will see Baggy Point, famous for its cliff climbs, from the bedroom window as you can the sunset over Lundy Island. Georgeham 2 miles up the lane also has excellent country pubs famous for their music and food. The nearest nightclub is Woolacombe 3 miles away. If you chose to stay here you will be able leave the car and easily walk to most of what you want to do. The beach is 500m one way and the village centre the same distance the opposite way so you are bang in the middle of everything this village has to offer. The nearest shop is 200m.

House rules

No groups of under 25 year olds so please don't ask. No stag/hen. No non-residents. Max 6 people. No face paint! Any issues or questions please contact me at the time and it's helpful if you let me know of any accidental damage that needs replacing. No arrival or parking until after 4pm and guests to leave premises completely by 10am. I'm sorry but due to cleaning I can't be flexible.

“Great base for Croyde and the surrounding area.”

The house is as described and photographed and was ideal for our week in Croyde Bay. The weather wasn't the best so we only managed a couple of days on the beach but the property was well located for the village and the beach, although the access from the beach car park nearest the house was a bit of a struggle with a push chair. We cut back through the holiday park on the way back which was better. Everything was clean and tidy and the kitchen was well equipped, particularly with cleaning equipment. The garden was ideal for our toddler and well secured on all boundaries. Wifi and smart tv all worked perfectly and no issues with instructions. There are storage heaters which are due to be replaced with central heating over this winter, so this will be a big improvement. Beds were comfy which is a big plus with White Company linen which is a nice touch. Main bathroom was modern and bright while the ground floor shower room was a little dated but everything worked fine so just cosmetic. All in all a great base for the surrounding area and would recommend. Many thanks Jane.

Many thanks for your review. There is major work this coming Winter with a new ensuite, kitchen, wooden flooring, new windows, furniture and central heating and opening up the kitchen to the dining/living area to make it a sociable space. I hope this modernisation of the house will bring it right up to date and guests will be happy with the changes. I'm excited about it! Photos to follow at Christmas.

“Beautiful well presented house”

We had a fabulous stay in croyde at this holiday home. On arrival we was welcomed by fresh scones and cream, such a lovely touch. The house it's self has everything you need, was spotlessly clean. Nice fresh flowers in the rooms which was lovely. The rooms are good sizes and the house is brilliant for family's with children and has a great secure back garden. The house is literally about 10 minute walk to the beach not far at all. And around a 5 min walk into croyde village where there's lovely pubs for dinner, a icecream shop and a pack to the rear of the village hall. Also at ruda holiday park there is a swimming pool you can visit as non residents with a slide ect. All in all we had a lovely holiday, the only negative thing we have to say is the description of the house saying its "secluded" which we disagree with, the house is on a cul de sac with around 15+ other houses, it is at the very end of the cul de sac and also to the rear of the property are chalets so is a little over looked by them, but the fields behind which you can see from the bedrooms are beautiful, and also the you can see the sea from the front bedroom. The location didn't bother us at all we love it as we knew exactly where it was due to staying in croyde since I was a child, so if your looking for a secluded house on its own the description doesn't match houses location. But for us was perfect and we will be visiting again next year. Thank you!!

Just to clarify the house is at the end of a 20' drive at the end of a cul de sac with only a rarely used chalet beyond it so rarely gets passing traffic. The back garden has a 8'. fence around it and is not overlooked but gets the sun all day which is why I would say secluded but I am most apologetic if you felt misled in any way as that is definitely not the intention. I hope we see you again for more fun in Croyde.

“Excellent family holiday”

The house is a fantastic place to stay and has everything you would need. Inside the house was nice and tidy and the children loved the use of the bean bags provided. Outside the garden is a suntrap, with no adjoining neighbours which meant it was lovely and peaceful. Our children ages 1 and 3, loved the beach, which is just a 15 minute walk away. After a long day at the beach we would walk to the village to get an ice cream or pasties for tea (village shop). Just Great!!
