“The pictures of The Salt Cabin looked great, but in reality it was fantastic!” The Salt Cabin had everything we needed , was extremely clean and furnished to a high standard.
The owner was really helpful and friendly, but was not at all intrusive.
Its tucked away in Croyde , so very private and peaceful, yet only 5 minutes walk into Croyde.
Would recommend it to anyone and want to go back again!
“Perfect holiday location” Well done Claire and John you have made this a perfect place to stay we did not want to leave, the cottage and garden is fabulous and so peaceful and is the best we have ever stayed in and had everything that you would ever need . Putsborough beach was a short walk away and we spent some lovely days there with the children and our dog Molly and found everyone in pubs and cafes extremely dog friendly. We will definitely be returning. Yvonne & Neil, Liverpool.
“Lovely cottage in beautiful, quiet and convenient location” Clean and beautifully presented, cosy cottage, perfect for a holiday with our 2 year old. House had modern and good quality fittings yet retained all the charm you would expect. Quiet and private garden, secure for toddler and dog. Short walk over the fields to Putborough Beach, or short drive to Croyde and Saunton Sands. Loads to do in the area for families, places to eat and shopping also easily accessible. Owners very helpful and friendly. A very relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
“Perfect location!” Stunning views, bungalow is huge - we had 4 adults 2 children and a baby and still had plenty of space. Well equipped, the fishing nets in the outbuilding were used daily as was the bbq. Booking was smooth and easy. Hoping to return next year
This beautiful area of North Devon is the perfect peaceful retreat. Away from the crowded beaches and busy streets of large resort towns, a holiday rental in Croyde is the best place to sit back, relax and enjoy the view.
For a little slice of paradise in the heart of Devon, there really is no place better.
What to do
For walkers there are plenty of trails in and around Croyde. One of the most popular is Baggy Point. It's a National Trust site and an easy walk from the car park. You'll have fantastic views but don't get too close to the edge – there are sheer drops on one side! More experienced walkers can try the difficult route.
If you get the chance, take a boat along the North Devon Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It's a beautiful site to behold – just remember to bring your camera.

The house is very central to the village centre for pubs, eating out and other shops. The beach is in walkable distance but we found with all the surf boards etc it was easier to load one car and unload in the lay-by just before the beach entrance and then return the car. The house had everything a party of 11 required and overall was very spacious. …
