Michel is a charming, spacious holiday home with fabulous sea views over St. Ives Bay. Its elevated location provides gorgeous views along the sweeping golden sands of Hayle to the Godrevy lighthouse.

Michel has just undergone a major renovation to give our guests new luxury amenities. New ground floor shower room with spacious shower, floating vanity and new tiling, NEW first floor bathroom with shower over tub with instant hot water. Totally new fitted kitchen with new appliances including a built-in dishwasher. Lounge and dining room just redecorated with new hardwood floors, new color scheme and new furniture in the lounge.

Michel is furnished with comfortable living and sleeping accommodations for up to six guests in three bedrooms. The master bedroom is a sumptuous retreat with a super-king size bed, luxurious Egyptian cotton linens and was completely refurbished. Two other beautifully furnished large bedrooms have double beds and ample storage space.

The spacious lounge provides seating for up to 6 so you can enjoy the wall-mounted 42" LCD flat-screen TV or the ever-changing sea-views. The fully equipped kitchen with cooker and fridge/freezer provides easy access to the adjacent dining area with seating for 6 and fabulous sea views.

Off street parking with easy access to Carbis Bay beach and to the town of St. Ives. A Tesco supermarket is 300 meters away within easy walking distance.

Carbs Bay is served by a spur railway line running from St Erth to St Ives. It connects to the main Southwest line from London in St Erth. Carbs Bay is served by several bus lines running along the main road into St Ives and the surrounding towns and villages. Walking into St. Ives along the road, or better yet along the coastal path is about one mile and delightful.

“Comfortable and spacious house with stunning sea views”

We had a very enjoyable stay in this lovely spacious and comfortable house. The views of the sea and local beaches were stunning, it was a pleasure just to sit and take in the view. The local amenities were close by but if you have walking difficulties you would need transport. The one disappointment was that we couldn't get to the local pub, The Cornish Arms, because there was no car park. However, The Badger Inn is just a short drive away and we would highly recommend it. The local train service into St Ives was very useful, regular and cheap. Having said that if you are reasonably fit you could walk to the local beach and pub. We would definitely stay again.

Very seldom is a property as great as it is described but this property was everything and more. The views were spectacular, the house was spotless, warm, spacious and friendly. There was a good info booklet at the house describing the best eating places, with a variety of places to visit with clear directions. The only minus was there was no washing machine to be found. Made it a bit hard as we had travelled from overseas to this property. My rating would have been excellent except for this one point.

Michel is a very homely place to spend a holiday with fantastic views over the bay from the living room and main bedroom. The 3 bedrooms are very generous in size and there are 2 reasonable sized bathrooms. Some of the kitchen utensils are a little dated but perfectly usable. All electrical appliances are newer. We had a problem with the kettle but once reported the kettle was replaced within a few hours. Despite mixed weather we had a very enjoyable stay and would have no hesitation in recommending this property to others.
