View From Within is a modern detached property situated in a secluded private area above the popular Lake District village of Bowness, which is just a 5 minute's walk away. Ideal for families or groups looking for a luxury holiday within the Lake District, this house provides stunning south-facing balcony views over Lake Windermere and the surrounding hills. The property even has a spa room with hot tub and pool table and private cinema room! We are also pet friendly.

The house has 6 large bedrooms configured to accommodate up to 12 people. Each of the bedrooms comes with its own flat screen TV and en suite bathroom with shower and toilet facilities, with 2 of the bedrooms having a bathtub. View From Within has a fully equipped kitchen suitable for cooking large meals and a large dining room where everyone can gather to enjoy a lovely meal with a view, as well as a comfortable living room and cinema room.

From central Bowness you can hop on one of the famous Windermere Lake cruise boats and take an evening cruise to Lakeside or Ambleside. Self-drive and rowing boats are also available to hire from Bowness Bay or, for those not too keen on water, take a bus and explore what the rest of the Lake District has to offer.

Bowness itself has a variety of great pubs, restaurants and bars to enjoy, all in walking distance from the house. For guests who enjoy the outdoors or are in need of a good dog-walk, we recommend heading up Brantfell in the morning to catch the sun rise over the east, or watch the sunset over Claife Heights to the west in the evening. Brantfell is a fairly short walk right from the doorstep but provides some of the best views of Lake Windermere and the rest of the Lake District's famous mountains.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send David (the owner) a message.

If David (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
