“Beautiful, relaxing, tranquil and a perfect place to unwind totally.”

set well back from the nearest road gives you a feeling of peace, the land it sits in is great for walking without going near a main road, perfect when you have young children or pets. The area is stunningly beautiful too. For families with younger children to entertain the area is brimming with Theme parks such as 'Folly Farm' 'Oakwood' 'Dino-land' to name just a few. There are many many historic building too, Castles, churches all within 30 mins tops and some even inside 1o minutes. The beaches are fabulous, the towns/villages of Pendine,Amroth, Wisemans Bridge,Saundersfoot and Tenby on the doorstep virtually. The owners are lovely people making you feel welcome, almost like old friends even....and this was our first trip here , we will certainly be going back. The accommodation is superb and very well equipped. We had a wonderful time here, thankyou Lee and Abi for creating a tremendous haven. Cannot wait for the next time.

Owner's reply: Thank you so much for your review of your stay in The Buttery. We really appreciate your kind words. We thoroughly enjoyed the occasional chat in passing. As you mentioned, there is so much to visit and see in this corner of the world which was even more enjoyable as the sun shone throughout your holiday. It is a real privilege to have veterans and service personnel stay here. Thank you. We look forward to seeing you again. All the very best. Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

“Great holiday, lovely cottage”

Reviewed 11 May 2015

The journey there due to bad traffic took 2hrs longer than expected but we were greated with a very warm welcome and instructions to put the kettle on an have a relax. Welsh cakes, Bara Brith, and tea awaited us and it was the perfect start of the most lovely holiday. The cottage was clean, warm and comfortable, the location was perfect, a lovely walk with our 2 dogs to the beach or up around the mountain. Well positioned to explore the area and plenty of good local produce. We ordered the Organic Veggie box and eggs for our arrival and it was full of really good quality veg and a dozen eggs for just £10. There is a little diddy honesty shop on site which was great for late night munchies or if you had forgotten something essential. We forgot to pack the dogs ball thrower, but it was ok as they had some to borrow :-) We have already recommended to friends who have now booked a week in June and I would say, if you have dogs or children or both this is a really lovely place to stay. Well done to Lee & Abi for making it so special

Owner's reply: Thank you for taking the time to review your stay in The Buttery. We really appreciate your kind words and also recommending us to your friends. Thank you so much. We are pleased you enjoyed the beaches with your dogs, Button and Bailey, as well as the walks around our fields. We will pass on your lovely comments about the veggie box, 'Honestybox' will be very appreciative to know you liked their produce. We hope to see you again if you are ever returning to the area. Kindest regards, Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

“rustic idyll”

Reviewed 22 Apr 2015

Very well-kitted out house and well-kept. Great for dogs, with the fields at the back of the farm. The children's playground is a good addition if you have kids.Fresh farm eggs in the morning, and a very useful shop/visitors centre for information, rainy day games and local produce. And the beaches are so accessible and so fabulous.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review of The Buttery. We are pleased you enjoyed your stay and found The 'Old Wood Store' useful for local information and guides, also liked the freshly laid eggs. You had great weather, it seems like it has been constant sunshine which is fantastic to explore the coastline and our surrounding fields. We hope to see you again. Kindest regards, Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

“A fantastic and idyllic holiday destination.”

Reviewed 14 Apr 2015

Just arrived home from a fantastic holiday staying at the Buttery Cottage at Coastal Wood Holidays. The location is idyllic and the cottage absolutely beautiful, it has everything you need and more. Our daughter had a truly fab time collecting eggs and playing on the rope swing with Lee and the boys. We couldn't have asked for more from a break, it is a truly special place. We will definitely be returning.

Owner's reply: Thank you for leaving a lovely review of your stay. We are really pleased The Buttery suited you. The weather was fantastic and the sunshine just always seemed to be out. We must say that it was a real pleasure meeting you. We have such fond memories of the children collecting eggs, feeding the dinky horses, playing in the meadows and of course making flavoursome sand ice-creams !!!! Thank you for great feedback. All the very best to you and 'super girl' :) Kindest regards, Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

“Great facilities and great hosts”

Reviewed 13 May 2014

My wife and I were looking for some where to get away and relax after a busy couple of months. After a bit of research I can across The Buttery at Coastal Wood. what an amazing place. The Hosts Lee and Abi were very friendly and went the extra mile to help and assist us during our stay. The cottage was spotless, the bedding was luxurious and they catered for everything even down to having a cafetiere. the additional information about the Coastal walk around the area were very helpful. the home made cakes in the shop were very good too.

Owner's reply: Thank for staying in The Buttery. We are so pleased you had a wonderful stay and to know that you and your wife had a lovely time exploring the coast. We look forward to seeing you again. Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays.

“Utterly Superb!”

Reviewed 27 Feb 2014

We spent a week in The Buttery and despite the weather had a fantastic week. The cottages have been converted to an extremely high standard, beautifully furnished and lacking for nothing. The cottage is very spacious and even though it was just the two of us and our dog there would be plenty of room for a family. The whole area is outstanding despite the battering that the area has taken from the recent storms with plenty of excellent pubs and restaurants not too far. Our Border Collie Molly had some fantastic walks up the back and into the woods and the whole set up at the farm is perfect for dogs. Lee and Abi made us feel extremely welcome, always on hand for anything we wanted but never intrusive. We couldn't rate Coastal Wood highly enough and would recommend anyone to spend a week here.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your lovely review of The Buttery. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay here, in particular Molly who seemed to like the woodland and beach walks nearby. We look forward seeing you all again soon. Kindest regards, Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

“Wonderful accommodation and relaxing atmosphere”

Reviewed 21 Jan 2014

We arrived at the cottage early but was immediately greeted by Lee who gave us all the information we needed. The cottage was open and ready for us when we arrived. The cottage was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed including tea coffee milk and a lovely arrangement of cakes. As a lovely surprise lee and abi had also left a bottle of prosseco for my birthday!

Owner's reply: Dear Alison, Thank you for your kind comments. We are so pleased you had a lovely birthday whilst staying in The Buttery. It was great to know that you had a special time here and enjoyed the walks with your young dog. Kindest regards, Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

“A relaxing break, with beautiful coast lines and a cosy well appointed cottage”

Reviewed 6 Nov 2013

Having stayed in numerous self catering cottages over the last few years with a young family, I know what a difference a bit of thought on what's provided can make to a holiday. The Buttery was not only spotlessly clean (and warm) on arrival but also equipped with everything you could possibly need (including a selection of cakes and treats to welcome us) to make the stay stress free. The kitchen had everything you would have at home and as eating out with three young children is expensive we used all of it. I especially liked the selection of herbs and spices in the "diddy little shop" that you could help yourself to. The rooms were spacious enough that we didn't feel on top of each other and after the kids had finished playing with the toys (also provided) and finally went to bed, we could relax with a glass of wine and a bit of star gazing. There was plenty to do during the day with loads of beaches to explore, sandy, pebbles and rock pools galore. Tenby is a lovely little walled town and worth spending the day nosing around but the boys and dog really enjoyed running around the woods just two minutes walk from the cottages. Overall it was a fantastic break and we will be going back in the spring/summer.

Owner's reply: It was great having you and your family stay here, especially over the Halloween weekend whereby the candle lit pumpkins looked great from your porchway. We are so pleased you enjoyed your time in The Buttery, and managed to explore the area. Thank you for the kind words your sons left in the visitors book, they were very much appreciated. We would love to see you all again next year. Kindest regards, Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

“QUALITY, COMFORT and SO PEACEFUL”

Reviewed 26 Oct 2013

Have stayed in many self-catering locations and premises over my 82 years, but this one comes 'top of the list'. A quiet farm, tucked away in the hills close to the sea, and easy access top so much to do - these four converted barns meet every expectation. Thoughtful owners seem to have ensured that just about anything one might need is provided, and the welcoming cakes and milk were much appreciated. Our stay was out of season, intentionally so, and the opportunity to lounge and read, stroll, or explore the area fully put to the test. Flat screen television with good reception, mobile phones connecting every time, and no one interfering with how we wanted our stay to unfold. The highest accolade - we want to return sooner rather than later.

Owner's reply: We are incredibly touched by your wonderful feedback - and really appreciate the time you have taken to write it. It means so much to us to know that you enjoyed your stay in The Buttery - and we would love to see you both again! Kindest regards, Lee & Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

“Beautiful location with fabulous facilities”

Reviewed 15 Aug 2013

Had a great holiday at Coastal Wood Cottages. Lovely location and stylish well appointed cottages. Lee and Abi had thought of everything to include in the cottage. The little shop where you could purchase item is a great idea and really useful. The close proximity to wonderful sandy beaches was great for the kids. Plenty to do in the local area for kids and adults alike.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review of The Buttery. We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay at 'Coastal Wood'. Its great knowing you liked our nearby beaches. Since your visit we have added more local produce to The Diddy Little Shop, which is proving very popular. We hope to see you and your family again.
