Enjoy the scenic Welsh coast with wonderful unspoilt beaches, vibrant seaside resorts of Tenby and Saundersfoot, boat trips to Caldey Island or the bird islands and wonderful water sports. “A mind resting family holiday with no worries provided by impeccable hosts.”

Reviewed 20 Aug 2015

From spotting the welcoming Coastal Wood Holiday direction signs, to being welcomed by Abi and Lee, and then stepping through the door to our cottage to find home made Bara brith and welsh cakes with a welcome note, complimentary fresh milk and water, coffee, tea, hot chocolate and flavoured teas'. The Granary Barn cottage is very welcoming, tastefully refurbished, retaining the beams and lintels, opening roof lights provide lots of natural light (and stargazing while nodding off in comfy beds), powerful shower, plenty of hot water and heating at turn of a radiator valve, comfortable suite (first in got the lounger), shampoo, conditioner and body wash in the two bathrooms, towels for guests and beds made up, lots of thought has been put into giving you a relaxed holiday. Being off the main road provides peace to sit, read and eat at the tables at your door, a lovely play area for children and where adults can also sit, fields to explore and play on the tree swing. The Diddy little and store is wonderful, buckets, spades, wellies for the beach and exploring, local produce, ice cream, snacks and meals to purchase via honesty payment. The two pubs we had meals (The New Inn and The Smugglers) were child friendly and reasonable....I think/know this is a great holiday retreat with great beaches nearby, so much so that we all rebooked for next as soon as we arrived home, we're all looking forward to two weeks stay in 2016. ....p.s. even our neighbours have booked a holiday cottage at Coastal Wood.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your kind review of The Granary Barn. We are so pleased the cottage suited you and your family. It's great to hear that you loved the area. There is so much to do for everyone, adults love Stackpole, Tenby and the coastal paths whereas children love the sandy beaches, Folly Farm and the ice-creams! We very much appreciate you recommending our cottages to your friends and neighbours. We very much look forward to seeing you again next year for two weeks. All the very best, Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

“A Fantastic week in South Wales”

Reviewed 19 Oct 2014

Before we arrived the time of year and weather you would have thought would have been against us!! how wrong you would be? The making of our short break was the accommodation. From the moment we arrived it felt like a second home, everything you thought you would want and more was there. The warm and welcome was great. I would not hesitate to recommend this as a great base for exploring the local area. Looking forward to returning very soon.

Owner's reply: Many thanks for your lovely review of The Granary Barn. It was a real pleasure meeting you, and we are so pleased the cottage suited you well. Thank you choosing to visit this beautiful area of Wales. We very much look forward to seeing you again. Kindest regards, Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

Fantastic place to stay, especially with children and a dog. Very friendly people, clean and modern accommodation. We will be going back.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review of The Granary Barn. It was great having you stay here. We particularly enjoyed it when Alex met the chickens .... he was very funny. We do hope you had a good time in the area, as it is well suited for families with pets. We hope to see you again soon. Kindest regards, Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

“Beautiful cottage in a fantastic setting”

Reviewed 10 Aug 2014

We have stayed in many self catering places but none of them compare to this! The cottage is so well equipped and the owners have thought of just about everything to get you started. The Diddy Little Shop was fantastic and the fresh eggs were the best we've tasted! It is well worth exploring the farm as the views are incredible. We will definitely be returning!

Owner's reply: We are so pleased you enjoyed your stay in The Granary Barn, especially the views over our meadows towards the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. We will pass on your lovely comments about the eggs to our young son, who looks after the chickens. He enjoys putting his eggs out on his little stall in the 'Old Wood Store'. Thank you for reviewing your stay and The Granary Barn. We do hope to see you again. Kindest regards, Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

“Superb accommodation and excellent hosts”

Reviewed 8 Jul 2014

A lovely cottage made even more welcoming by the extra little touches in the accommodation, loved the welsh cakes! We were made to feel very at home and nothing was too much trouble for our hosts. Some nice pubs and restaurants nearby in Pendine Sands and Amroth. I have already recommended the property to several friends and will be back there myself as soon as I can.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your great review about your stay in The Granary Barn. It was a real pleasure meeting you and your family, enjoying the glorious Welsh sunshine and watching with envy at your stunning convertible .... what a way to enjoy the coast roads !! We do hope all is well with you and do wonder whereabouts in the world you are visiting with your Dad. Safe travels and thank you for visiting us. Kindest regards Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

“Lovely little holiday cottage in a peaceful location”

Reviewed 8 Mar 2014

We booked this cottage at the last minute after seeing it on the internet. The location is lovely, just a few minutes to the sea and plenty of walking on the doorstep. The cottage was very clean and comfortable and also dog-friendly, with lots of little extras i.e dog covers, emergency food and also bowls provided. We were pleased that, as advertised, the bed was very comfy and had quality bedding - just perfect for aching bones after a long day walking! The cottage was very well equipped throughout and the owners were very helpful.

Owner's reply: We are pleased you enjoyed your stay here. It is especially good to hear the dog walking in the area suited you, in particular the nearby beaches and through the tunnels to Saundersfoot. Please do contact us if you are after another last minute break and we hope to see you again soon. Kindest regards, Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays

“Can't wait to come back”

Reviewed 25 Aug 2013

Great accommodation with really friendly welcome from owners. Spacious property, clean, tidy in a glorious location. Loved local beaches (avoid Pendine). Tenby was lovely place. Highlight was horse riding at very nearby Marros riding centre.

Owner's reply: Thank you for your review of The Granary Barn. It was really lovely having you and your family stay here, especially as you all shared The Granary Barn and The Buttery. It was great hearing about all the places you ventured to during your stay. We are sure Hazels horses at the Marros Riding Centre are missing you all. We hope to see you all again soon ...... we will stock up on the icepops! Kindest regards, Lee and Abi Coastal Wood Holidays
