“What a fantastic Villa” We wish we didnt have to return home. We loved staying at this villa, it was very clean with a high standard decor and very spacious. The kitchen is very well equiped and the views from the all day balcony are outstanding. It is quiet and peaceful and we spent many an evening watching the sunset from the varanda. The villa is lovely and cool providing relief from the heat in the much warmer months. Rose and Gilberto are very welcoming, nothing was too much trouble and they were always available if we needed their advice. Calheta beach is a 2 minute drive away with plenty of parking. After reading Madeira is a walkers paradise and we are not very mobile, we found Calheta provided everything we needed from restaurants to bars, a very well stocked supermartet and flat promonade for walking with plenty of seating and shade. The main roads for driving are very good, very well signposted and the view through the mountains are out of this world. We couldnt have asked for more, the villa is lovely and Madeira is beautiful. The owner was also extremely helpful from the initial enquiry through to our arrival, really taking time out to ensure our holiday was planned to perfection.
