In downtown Rome, near Piazza Navona, the Vatican and the Spanish Steps, in the heart of the shopping district, Casa Visconti – more than a Bed&Breakfast – is an indipendent residential portion, on the fourth floor of a prestigious building from the early 20th century.

Accurately restructured in November 2010 (cold/warm air conditioning), this apartment full of light, elegantly furnished, is made of well separated rooms: a large bedroom (with a king size bed), with all comforts; a cozy living room (with a single or double bed couch), with a balcony enjoying a view of St. Peter’s dome; a fully furnished kitchen area, and a large stylish bathroom with masonry shower. The large rooms, each with its exclusive touch, with stucco decorations and four-meter high ceilings, fully cover the needs of just a couple or of a family, for a comfortable and relaxing vacation.

“what a great accomodation” Casa Visconti is a great place to discover Rome. It is very close to the Vatican and to the centre of Rome; all major sights can be reached by foot. Nevertheless, the appartment is situated in a calm area. The landlords, Paola and Giovanni, are very kind and respond very quickly to any request. The appartment is only a few steps away from the next grocery shops, bakeries, and also pharmacies. The kitchen is fully equipped, and the appartment is neat and tidy. In short: We very much enjoyed our stay and like like to thank Paola and Giovanni very much. (And many thanks to Romeo too!)

“A great place in a great city” This place is excellent! The location and the amenities are great, you have everything you may need in the apartment. The owner, Giovanni, is very helpful at all times with any information you may need (he even sent us some good restaurant recommendations in the area). Also Romeo is a gem too, as he was very friendly and informed us about anything we needed to know about the area, what to do, what to avoid (you know.. tourist traps), where to eat, helped us with some train tickets and so on. I'd highly recommend also booking the airport pick-up by Romeo, which will save you time or troubles in reaching the address. The location is great for Rome, close enough to everything. Metro line is close by, but you can also walk on foot if you like. The apartment is very spacious, enough for 4 people. The bedding is luminous, very comfortable, the kitchen and bathroom have anything you need (including dishwasher liquid, which i didn't see in other places). You have A/C and wi/fi. Everything is as advertised or even better. I would highly recommend it to anyone who'd wish to visit Rome and feel a bit of the Roman spirit. Thank you, Casa Visconti, for everything!

“Great value apartment near The Vatican” We stayed at Casa Visconti with our 2 young children this summer and we can strongly recommend it. It is very well situated, near St. Peter's on the west side of the city, but also within walking distance of the city centre and all of the main attractions. Giovanni is an excellent host, who took the time to show us around the apartment and also the best routes in and around the city. He has very good English (which is very useful when, like us, you only know the basics of Italian). The apartment was clean and large enough for the 4 of us. There is also a small balcony, where you can watch the Roman street life beneath you while also enjoying a view of the dome of St. Peter's. There is also free wi-fi. We had a lovely visit to Rome and having an apartment of this quality at a great price helped to make it so. We would have no hesitation in trying to book here again. John & Mary Boyle, Edinburgh

“The Finest Accommodation We Could Have Hoped For in Rome” Everything about the apartment was delightful...from the reception meeting with Romeo who helped us become acclamated to the apartment and the durroundings to our final checkout meeting with the property owner who could not have been more gracious and kind. The rooms were immaculately prepared by a rather fastidious maid who cleaned every square inch of the apartment, the location allowed us to walk to each and every scenic and historic area of Roma...and to catch a bus if our feet became weary...as many buses lead to our central area at Piazza Cavour (which is in the process of getting it's own Metro subway station in a year or so. On a slightly negative note, in the interest of balance and fairness, there is a pub four stories below the apartment creating a bit of excess noise on weekend nights...close the windows or bring an earplug set and you will be blessed with a good night's sleep and the best value in Rome apartments there is to find in the city....clean, attactive, efficient, all the amenities and the best care to be provided by Romeo and the property owner!

“Wonderful two weeks” My wife and I really enjoyed our stay. We were close to shopping and attractions. The rooms were large and clean. The balcony brought much light to the apartment.The kitchen was well equipted with all essentials. If you need to be picked up at airport or train station we highly recommend Romeo who oversees the apartment. We had a slight problem with the plumbing in the bathroom and the plumber was there within the hour. The only negative point we experienced, because we were facing the street, there was some noise from the the bar across the street. Overall, this apartment is a great value and we are planning to stay there in the future.

“Super séjour à Rome” Nous avons passé 4 nuits/5 jours à Rome à La Casa Visconti. Nous avons auparavent contacté le propiétaire Giovanni et le premier contact était rassurant. Personne charmante. Accueil par Roméo super accueil également et personne qui n'est pas avare de renseignements. Les photos étaient conformes à la réalité. Super appartement très bien situé (près du Vatican, de la Place Cavour et de la Place Navone). Nous avons tous visité à pied (jusqu'au Colisée). Rome se visite à pied... Nous retournerons sans problème à Rome et si possible à La Casa Visconti. Nous sommes Ravis Séjour du 18/3/2013 au 22/03/2013.
