Beautiful holiday cottage for 4 at Little Petherick, near Padstow North Cornwall

School Cottage was built around 1850 of Cornish stone and slate and was used as a school until 1905. Now it has been converted into two very attractive cottages.

Inside there is a light and airy feel, with a wood burning stove, chapel-style roof beams and lovely soft furnishings which add to the overall charm. Comfortable sitting room and a further study, a really well equipped kitchen, beautiful bathroom and a further wet room, two TV's, Wireless Wi Fi and much more.

The accommodation and furnishings are for a maximum of 4 people.

Little Petherick is a delightful Cornish village with slate hung, pastel coloured houses sheltering at the head of the Petherick Creek and is very close to Padstow. with Bistro at bottom of hill within walking distance. More photos on owners own web site google School Cottage Little Petherick.

The village has a beautiful Church, Hotel Inn and Molesworth Manor (which is excellent for cream teas) all within easy walking distance.

Round and about. 2 miles from School Cottage lies the picturesque medieval fishing port of Padstow. The unspoilt town has many pubs and restaurants nestled in it warren of narrow streets and alleys, including Rick Stein's famous seafood restaurant. There are many attractions including sailing, tennis, horse riding, deep sea fishing, speed boat rides, bicycle hire and wind surfing.

The Cornwall region

Coast/Beach

The golden sands of Harlyn bay are close by and this beach is one of the safest for children. There are also 6 other bays within a 5 mile radius. Lifeguards patrol from May to September. (sometimes longer at certain beaches) The Camel trail is near by and a great way to see the Padstow estuary. The numerous cliff walks and panoramic views around this area are truly magnificent.

Golf

The golf club at Trevose head has three courses, a championship 18, a short and a long 9 hole course and 9 Hole intermediate course. St Enodoc and Rosario golf course at Rock which is about 25 mins by car and Newquay golf course, about 25 mins.

Little Petherick

Tesco is 5 minutes drive away in Padstow. Cinemas in Wadebridge, Truo and Newquay. Restaurants include Rick Stein's Seafood Restaurant, cornish armes in St Merryn another Stien establishement in Padstow, 7 bays and Waves at St Merryn and Jamie Oliver's Fifteen Restaurant at Watergate Bay near Newquay. Tennis: 3 all-weather courts at the nearby Trevose Golf & Country Club. Surfing: on many of the local beaches. Eden Project and the Lost Gardens of Heligan are both near by. St Austell 45 mins by car. The Camel Trail, is close and you can cycle the Camel estuary trail from Wadebridge to Padstow bikes can be hired at either end at reasonable prices. There is plentiful good local sea fishing from nearby rocks and beaches, plus boat fishing trips from Padstow.
