“No title could do justice...” No title could do justice to the experience of staying here. Pauline was a great host; helpful, on hand when needed yet unintrusive. She gave local recommendations when asked for and was a breeze to communicate and organise with. It is hard to appreciate a good host until one experiences to the contrary, but we were in very good hands from start to finish. The farmhouse itself is beautiful, quite classically decorated and the rooms are well-appointed. If you're reading this then I'm guessing you want to know whether or not you want to stay here. Here are some things which may help. Highlights (for us): - the gas BBQ & grill on the patio - the incredible view, including sunrise from the balcony. - the location is so peaceful but so connected for when you want (see below). No disturbances. - within hazy-stumbling distance of Xaghra Square (honestly 7, straight-line minutes), Ramla Bay (20) and some really old ancient things (10). - air conditioning - spacious, not just in sleeping capacity but also in living areas i.e. kitchen and living room. It can entertain as many as it can sleep. - Gozo transport is incredibly cheap, efficient and good quality. - the local community are warm, good-humoured and friendly. Some things to be prepared for: - mosquitos will have a go, unless the farmhouse is since equipped with nets, guards or working deterrents. - that's about it. In case it's helpful - we're in our mid-twenties. We saw mostly older families/friends here (and not overrun with tourists in May/June). We found Gozo & Malta neither too quiet nor too hectic, and with plenty of room for either extreme if you so desire. Take a good book for the poolside and go clubbing in La Grotta on Friday night/morning. Gozo is beautiful. You should go. Just leave room for us.

“A Perfect Stay” Spent the last week of September as a workation for a small firm of eleven. The week was used as a mix of business and pleasure to which the house was a perfect fit. Both the house and the location really is a find. A special thanx to the host Amanda who took care of all our need - from finding a chef to arranging local transports. One of those rare finds!

“Fantastic house in a lovely area” We were greeted by Anthony on our arrival. He showed us around his beautiful house before leaving us to explore. We were provided with a welcome pack which included; milk, eggs, ham, cheese and bread and a wonderful bottle of home made wine which was such an unexpected but lovely gesture. The house was immaculate and fully equipped for my us and our two children (aged 14yrs and 8yrs). It gave us enough space to relax and allowed us to enjoy a real family holiday together. The pool was a god send in the hot days, it was difficult to get our youngest out of there. We also enjoyed the BBQ area, often eating & relaxing on the roof during the cooler evenings whilst watching the numerous firework displays across the island. As we were in the house over a week, Anthony and his wife came (by prior arrangement) to change the linen, they are both very friendly and accommodating and they even gave us a home made Malta cross which we found very touching. We have had to pay up to 80 Euros for linen service at previous accommodation but this was included in the agreed price here. We have stayed both on Malta & Gozo many times but this property was by far the best value for money that we have come across. We thoroughly enjoyed are time here and would definitely recommend this to anyone.

“Lovely Fort Chambray apartment” My husband and daughter stayed a week in this lovely apartment. It was impeccably clean and is furnished with all the items one needs while on holiday. The complex itself is gorgeous, the pool area a dream. One of the most beautiful and large swimming pools I've seen and is luxuriously large considering the number of residents. It was a relaxing and quiet renovated fort complex. The owner Maurice dealt helpfully with any questions or needs we had. The only problem we had was leaving. Not only would I recommend it, I can't wait to go back again the next opportunity we have.

“Lovely apartment” The apartment is large and a well equipped holiday home. There is an access road in front of the apartment, where you can park and is right by the side of the bay. You can easily swim from the rocks there, or walk round to the top of the bay to the sandy very safe beach, which takes about 15 minutes. The local bus stop is at the entrance to the access road, which is very useful if you want to go to Sliema or Valletta. Never drive to Sliema or Valletta because parking is almost non existent and the buses are regular and cheap. Just down from the bus stop is a small supermarket and in both directions a couple of restaurants and bars. There are plenty of beach towels, chairs and a parasol for trips to the beach. Air conditioning is provided by ceiling fans and there is a large covered balcony overlooking the bay with a dining table and chairs, sofa and armchair to sit and enjoy the view. The TV only has Italian or Maltese speaking channels, but there is a DVD Player.The apartment owners are on hand if you have any problems, but have tried to provide everything for a comfortabler stay.

“Ideal for what we wanted” We were met at the villa by the owner who showed us around. the Villa was very large and worked out to be ideal for our needs. there is a downstairs area with 1 bedroom and a living area with a couple of put up beds and a bathroom. this was great for my teenage boys who used this as a flat away from everyone to do their own thing when they wanted. on ground level there is 2 large bedrooms with on sweets and a twin room with a bathroom next to it. the pool area and view is stunning. the only criticism I have about the villa is it really could do with updating, but if it was updated then you would have to spend allot more money to hire it. We would stay here again, its ideally positioned as well.

“Fantastic Holiday” We arrived in Malta quite late in the evening and thus it was nice to be met at the airport and be taken to the apartment by Ivan. The apartment was clean and comfortable with all modern amenities. Air-conditioning was a definite bonus. The welcome pack with bread, milk etc was particularly useful as not many shops were open the following day (Sunday). There is plenty to do in Malta - beaches, culture, war museums, waterpark etc. Whilst public transport was reasonably priced and comfortable, waiting for a bus in the heat was not! - Hiring a car is a must. We enjoyed the waterfront restaurants, all of which were within easy walking distance. Local shops nearby provided all necessary amenities. The best thing about the apartment was that it was not located in the busy touristy parts of Malta yet was within easy commuting distance. I would definitely recommend staying here. Irene the owner kindly answered all our queries and Liz the manager was also on hand to help out if required.

“Awesome!” I stayed in this beautiful farmhouse last summer with 14 of my family/friends. We had a great time, the huge out door area was perfect with such a large group of us! Most afternoons was spent playing volley ball! The outside oven provided a great evening of making pizza's, which was great even if they were slightly burnt! Cant wait to book for next summer! Matt

“Brilliant holiday.” We have visited Malta on many occasions but this is the first time we have stayed in Valleta. The penthouse appartment is brilliant with great views over the bay to Silma. It is only about 150m from Republic Street and the same in the opposite direction to the Silma Ferry that runs every half hour over to Silma. The penthouse has everything you need for your stay and Claire (the owner) is usually on site for advise on were to eat and whats happening around Malta. Joe's bakery next door is the best thing since sliced bread. His Pizzas are the best we ever tasted, well worth a visit. Thank you Claire for the bottle of wine that you kindly bought for us at Cokney's restaurant, I hope to return the favour on our next trip and we will be staying at the Penthouse then. Thanks also to Paul and his team for organising everything so well, the airport transfers and checking in and out all went very smoothly and on time.

“terrific ....” The villa, the place, the sea, the island and of course our host Fiona .... terrific .... it was like a dream come true. My princess and me stayed five incredible days and nights at the Villa Aurelia. A space miracle insight, a place to fall in love with the sun and blue sky every day again .... since we had 11 days at Malta in total we decided to enjoy the Villa as good as we can .... we had breakfast at the morning in this incredible open space kitchen, we were swimming in the pool at day and at night, we enjoyed the sun dancing on our skin and we loved to be in the jacuzzi late evening ... just the moon watching us .... this villa is made for love ..... go and get there, you will be excited what that place will do with you .... “Beautiful, luxury apartment with stunning views.” We have just returned from 10 nights in this beautiful apartment. Arriving in Malta we were met at the airport by the owner who drove us to the complex. The apartment is stunning with sea views and all the facilities you will ever need, very quiet and spotlessly clean. The pool is excellent most mornings it was only myself and my husband in the pool. The complex is very central next to the shopping mall and close to plenty bars and restaurants. The ferry to Valleta is under a 10 minute walk from the apartment. We enjoyed our stay so much we intend to return again next year.

“What a fabulous house” We had a wonderful, restful time at Dar tal-Gen. Kenneth was incredibly helpful with all sorts of information before we arrived, and even sorted out some groceries for us. The house is amazing, and in a very peaceful spot. The pool was perfect, and we spent a lot of time just lounging around by it. The people in the village of Qala were very friendly, and we enjoyed being involved in the festa. We managed to travel around for our two weeks using the local buses, which stopped not far from the house. It is very convenient for the number of excellent restaurants in the village. My kids think I am a genius for finding it!

“Beautiful, historic place” Ta Torri is the most incredible place - full of history and character. We loved every aspect and are desperate to return. The garden is huge and full of incredible trees and plants with the most fabulous vistas. We were absolutely thrilled to find the chameleons in the bushes! It was a bit cool for the pool but it looked lovely. There were so many places to sit and enjoy the sun and plenty of garden furniture and loungers. I loved reading about the history of the house and seeing the photos of its restoration. I have been telling all my friends to go.
