“Amazing location, site clean and tidy, lodge excellent with nice touches” Well located for travelling around the area. Site was quiet but has an excellent pool and restaurant. Lodge itself was first class, well equipped with nice touches like milk, coffee, tea etc waiting for you when you arrive. All was very tidy. Problem with WiFi but one email and the owner was onsite in under 10 mins to resolve. Would highly recommend. Adjoins a country park with a reservoir and a walk to the beach which was unfortunately closed at the time we were their, but was not a problem

“Very clean, lovely area, 10/10” Stayed here due to my holiday to Malaga being cancelled. Was set in a lovely location, close to eveything, van was very tidy and neatly presented. We really enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back again at some point :) thank you both.

“Excellent venue for Corporate Retreat” It was the perfect venue for a corporate retreat. Near to London, total privacy, comfortable and well appointed common areas for group meetings, lovely bedrooms, and beautiful grounds. It was exactly what we were after and I would recommend it highly.

“Absolutrely fabulous break” We had a wonderful stay at Blackthorn, in Icklesham near Rye. it was the perfect setting great accommodation, including exclusive use of hot tub and swimming pool. The accommodation includes a veranda with a wonderful view, it was great for breakfast and also an evening glass or two of prosecco. Lots to do locally, beaches, great pubs for eve meals and a good pint. We also visited the Kent and East Sussex steam railway journeying to Bodium castle enjoying a lovely cream tea, (make sure you pre book this) on our return journey to Tenterden. Rye is well worth a visit to stroll around and take in the history. We enjoy walking and Hasting Country park and its coastal path provide magnificent views. Peter was a great host kept in contact with us during our booking provided local OS maps to help us with our walking excursions and has lots of valuable local knowledge. Highly recommend a stay here for either pure relaxation or more active break. We had great time, thanks..

“Excellent bungalow” The bungalow is fantastic. It has everything you could need and the owners are incredibly helpful and accommodating. We've stayed at the site many, many times and at this bungalow a couple of times. The pool is nice and the kids enjoy it.
