Beckside-lodge is a privately owned, superior 3 bedroomed traditional pine log cabin on the shores of Lake Windermere. Entrance to lodge is via a ramp for ease of access. Ideal for families with children and pet friendly.

Set in the most idyllic and scenic location in the heart of the Lake District National Park, and nestling 2.5 miles centrally between the towns of Windermere and Ambleside, the lodge is set within an exclusive 4-star award winning holiday park.

Perfectly positioned for a relaxing peaceful holiday, but within easy reach of the bustling towns and visitor attractions this delightful part of the country has to offer and all only a 30 minute drive from junction 36 of the M6.

Accommodation comprises of; Gas central heating with electric fire. Gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, shared on-site laundry facilities (coin operated), dishwasher, Freeview TV with basic Sky (2 Sky Sports channels available), DVD, CD/radio/Ipod, WiFi, selection of books

Note: Although all ground floor, the property is accessed via ramp access. Mobile phone coverage and WiFi signal can be intermittent. Guests must obtain a code from the site reception for access to the site. Use of leisure facilities, e.g. swimming pool, gym, sauna etc at the cost of £15 per group for the duration of the stay.

“Lodge-Whitecross Bay”

We had the most amazing time! Perfect location and cosy and warm lodge. Was a perfect stay we will definitely be back!

“Nice location, poor cleanliness”

3 couples stayed for 3 nights. Lodge smaller than appears in brochure. Lodge had not been cleaned properly. Won't go into specifics but disappointed with cleanliness. Spent the three days emptying basins of water from the boiler. Area itself was beautiful and central to both Ambleside and Windermere.

Owner's reply: Hi Thank you for taking the time to review the lodge even though I am somewhat bemused. Unfortunately, due to the very nature of a central heating boiler, water passes through it, and we cannot legislate for a seal failing. I did send the plumber as soon as I was informed. With regard to the cleanliness, or lack of it, this comment does surprise me. Reading through our previous 29 reviews the common factor is how clean and cosy the lodge is, so I am surprised to say the least. And I really don't know how big you wish a 3 bedroomed log cabin to be? I can assure you that I have not photoshopped the images on our website. Thank you for your comments all the same
