Welcome, St Mawgan is situated in the beautiful Lanherne Valley within 2 miles of Cornwalls spectacular coastline. Little Ramwood is nestled in a quiet country lane yet only 2 mins walk down into the village with its award winning traditional inn/restaurant, tea rooms, village stores, antique shop, gift/local crafts shop, general stores/post office and the Bonsai gardens. We have a beautiful church and the carmelite monastry with an enchanting chapel. All this is dotted around the village green bounded by the lanherne river.

Being just 1.5 miles from the sea at Mawgan Porth we are perfectly situated for the beach, sea or some of the fantastic walks that this coastline has to offer, in fact there is a pathway that takes you through the valley and woods right to Mawgan Porth which has lovely amenities and a beautiful beach. This walk takes 30 - 40 minutes and starts 50 yards from Annexe Ramwood

We are within 3 miles of the nearest town with butchers, bakers, greengrocers, Co-op, bank, chemists and doctors etc. Being just 6 miles from Newquay, 8 miles from Padstow and 12 miles from The Eden project we are perfectly situated to explore all that this wonderful county has to offer.

Little Ramwood is fully self contained comprising

• Bed/sitting room with dbl bed, leather sofa, tv/video, cd player, cabinets, coffee table and wooden


• Kitchen, equipped with hob, oven, fridge, microwave, washing machine and all other kitchen


• Bathroom with bath, power shower with glass screen and white sanitary units.

• Dressing/dining room with dbl wardrobe, dressing table and dining table.

• Garden area. Small garden area with table and chairs with parasol and beautiful views over the

village and valley. (perfect with a glass of wine or a cold beer)

• Off road parking at all times.

• Towels (excluding beach towels), bedlinen and electricity are included in the weekly cost.

• The tariff is based on 2 people staying, there is an adjoining bed/sitting room with dbl bed, sofa,

wardrobe, cabinets, coffee table, basin, tv/dvd and cd player available for a further 2 people at

an additional cost of £100 per week.

Lovely comfortable cottage, lovely owners, Had everythng you need, we had a 3 night stay , the bed was so comfortable. Great location as we travelled the coasts and even watched some filming of Poldark. Hope to come again sometime .

Set in the delightful village of St Mawgan Little Ramwood ticked all the boxes for a wonderful stay in Cornwall, close to great coastal walks, and nearby Padstow and Newquay and numerous wonderful beaches close at hand. Cameron and Julie wonderful mine hosts.

Premises were very cosy and comfortable for two. Everything there that we needed. Parking off road outside premises. Good location to tour Cornwall. Owners very friendly and could not do enough to make our stay enjoyable. Nice pub and tearoom in the village.

The place was great, it was a perfect base to explore the whole of Cornwall or to just to stay in and relax. The hosts were lovely and we will definitely be back again. The fish and chips at the Lizard are fantastic definitely worth a trip!

Little Ramwood- we had a lovely time at Little Ramwood,Julie is so lovely and helpful and made us feel so welcome.The little cottage is very warm and cosy and we really enjoyed the village and walks to the bays.

“Comfortable,warm hideaway for couples.”

We were greeted and made welcome by the hosts who then left us to carry on with our holiday in peace. The annexe was well equipped and the bed was comfortable and we slept well. This is a lovely little annexe that does not cost a fortune at any time of the year Mawgan Porth has a lovely beach and is not far from Newquay which always has plenty of surfers to watch. We would be happy to visit again but maybe earlier in the year as it was so dark that we didn't want to venture out down the narrow roads.

“A lovely place to stay and a great base for exploring cornwall from!!”

Little ramwood is probably the cleanest and best appointed property i have ever rented in cornwall!! Whilst a little on the small size, it was more than adequate, and this is NOT a complaint !!! In fact a complinent, as this results in a very cosy and warm home compared to some places i have stayed, where you normally have to feed a very hungry elecric meter with your hard earned wages just to prevent the onset of frost bite!! ( No meter here by the way!!) Little Ramwood is also the only place i have stayed where the electric shower had to be turned down to the low setting as anything more was just not needed!!! The host were very nice and a lovely touch was the complimentary box of chocolate biscuits and fresh milk on arival (Thanks very much!!!) The village of st. Mawgan is beautifull and the pub opposite the church is very welcoming with good food and great beer on offer and the landlord/lady are very friendly. I would recomend Little Ramwood to any one and look forward to visiting again soon. The only negative thing i have to stay is as pets are not allowed we will have to look elsewhere if visiting for more than a couple of days when we normally bring the dogs along!

“Ideal location for travelling around Cornwall”

Good location, owners very friendly and helpful, lovely walk through the woods to the beach. The beach here is lovely and the pub is OK for basic "pub food". Pub in village very good food and very friendly made us feel welcome each time we visited.. Accomodation small but has everything you need, ideal for a couple although there is the option of paying more for an extra room if you have more in your party. I think it may be a bit cramped if you had another couple sharing but ok for children.

How do damage deposits work?
