Tremodrett Barn is a stunning, contemporary 5 star, two-bedroom barn conversion, graded in accordance with Visit England standards. It is decorated in boutique-hotel style, including an oak four-poster bed, to provide a stylish and comfortable base for your holiday. Situated on a small private estate with five adjacent barns, it is surrounded by fields and open countryside. The leafy hamlet is only one and a half miles from the A30 main road through Cornwall, making it an ideal base for travelling around the county and exploring the north and south coasts.

The open-plan living accommodation is flooded with light and located on the first floor to take advantage of the dramatic, vaulted roof space and beams. A Juliet balcony opens onto the courtyard -perfect for a little star-gazing! The kitchen is equipped to a high standard with eg. professional pans,Sophie Conran china and food processors. We also have cookery books by Rick Stein and others to inspire you in case you want to get creative.

Downstairs are two bedrooms. The main king-size bedroom opens onto the courtyard and has a contemporary oak four poster bed. (We like to spoil our guests and a little luxury on holiday is essential, isn't it )? The second bedroom (twin) is a dramatic room with sloping roof and beams reaching into the eaves of the barn. Both are equipped with crisp white bed linen. A small further downstairs room provides a den/TV /quiet room - perfect for teenagers to escape and chill and give parents a little respite! The bathroom (bath with shower over) is immediately adjacent to the four-poster bedroom. There is a stylish, contemporary, en-suite

shower room in the twin bedroom.

We have a library with books by Daphne du Maurier, Rosemary Pilcher and the Poldark series to help you get in the Cornish mood; also a small DVD library. (N.B. These have temporarily been removed as part of our Coronavirus strategy -see below).

Outside there are two garden areas - the front garden receives sun throughout the day and is decorated with palms and exotic plants which thrive in Cornwall's sunny clime. There is a long raised bed planted with flowers and shrubs. A dining table and seating for 4 is provided together with a kettle BBQ. To the rear of the barn is a communal courtyard (shared with two other barns) decorated with mature hydrangeas and camellias. There is also a bistro table and two chairs so you can pop out of the main bedroom for a quiet morning coffee.

The whole estate has been finished to a high standard and slate walkways and planting beds abound. In the fields we caught sight of roe deer in our first week and there is a resident woodpecker. There is generous parking for guests and visitors. Please note that there are a few steps down from the car park and three steps around the estate. A path leads around a barn to our main door but the barn can also be accessed from the courtyard which is closer to the car park after key collection.

The Barn is our own holiday home and equipped to a high standard not just as a holiday let and we hope our guests will appreciate the little extra touches.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I pay the balance of my holiday?

How can I retract my booking request?

You’ll need to contact Christine Fisher (the owner) to do this. Send them a message in Manage your holiday booking or through the contact form on this page.

How do I cancel my booking?

Go to Manage your holiday booking to cancel your booking. Here you can view your cancellation policy to see if you’ll be refunded.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Christine Fisher (the owner) a message.

If Christine Fisher (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
