From the owner

The Lodge is fresh and open plan in style on the inside, traditionally timber-clad on the outside. It sleeps four people with one king-size room and one bunk room. It is in a quiet and rural setting where you can sit in the Spa under big skies, day or night, between a mighty ridge and the rolling landscape to the Elan Valley. You can walk, mountain bike, watch wildlife and stargaze straight from the doorstep and of course, you can always do absolutely nothing at all!

Wi-fi, linen and towels are also inclusive( however, please bring your own towels for hot tub use), in this converted barn, which is furnished to a high standard. The cosy barn is an excellent base to explore mid Wales, the coast and beyond. Or just stay and relax in the exclusive Hot Tub Spa and garden and admire the view under big skies or look at the stars!

Our hot tub spa is meticulously prepared and maintained daily during your stay, to maximise the safety and enjoyment of your experience. The hot tub spa will either be ready for use on your arrival or, if the water has been changed that day, later in the evening or the following morning.

If you are looking for a relaxing short break or week away in a beautiful rural setting, from where you can go for easy country walks, have long lunches or do something more energetic, then this is the cottage for you. This is the perfect venue for taking a holiday in Wales since it is in a centrally placed location close to the Elan and Upper Wye Valleys, Rhayader's kite feeding station and the Royal Welsh Crystal factory. It is also within an hours drive of Hereford and it's cathedral, Ludlow's renowned cuisine or Cardigan bay's beaches and dolphins.

We are in easy reach of several renowned mountain biking centers-

Coed Trallwm & Elan Valley/ Nant yr Arian/ Radnorshire rough ride and Machynlleth-Mach 1, 2, 3

There is a huge variety of walking in the area from the national trails of Offa's Dyke, Wye Valley Walk and Glyndwr's Way to shorter circular routes in spectacular and very quiet countryside.

Mid-Wales, has always been one of Britain's premier fishing areas, fish for trout in the Elan valley and Llyngwyn or river fishing on the Wye, Elan and Claerwen.

Welcoming, cosy and an ideal get away
Nov 2013

The accommodation was spotless, bright and homely, having everything we needed. It was the perfect peaceful place to stay with space for everyone and beautiful views. Great facilities to cook and eat together with a choice either inside or out. Parking outside was handy with all our equipment for outdoor pursuits. A quiet, beautiful and restful holiday with plenty to do in the surrounding area. I would highly recommend this property and will definitely be returning soon.

peaceful retreat
Apr 2014

Stayed over Easter Weekend with my two teenage lads!,, Took me a while to find somewhere that ticks my boxes in the area that i wanted and this ticked them all! Ideal for Devils Bridge, Aberystwyth and Elan Valley. The Barn was everything you could need and even a BBQ was provided as a cheeky request from myself on the promise of fine evenings!

Simply Excellent
May 2014

Really pleased that we found Seven Stars online, it meet all of our needs and was excellent value. Although it is not large, it did have all that we needed; two bedrooms, shower room and living/dining/kitchen space, with good kitchen equipment and TV/DVD and radio and comfortable beds. Outside there is an enclosed area outside so we didn’t have to worry about the kids when playing out. We knew that we were in Red Kite country, so was over the moon to see one in the sky over the property on our first morning. Location was ideal with easy access by car in Rhayader, Elan Valley and Red Kite Country. Only minor moan was sofa wasn’t that deep so couldn’t really relax in it, but weren’t in the place much so can forgive that. Was so good both my wife and our daughter said about coming back, which I think is a given. Nor really related to the review, but not sure why this come up under the Llandrindod Wells rather than Rhayader which is so much closer.

stayed here for 2 nights and really enjoyed the peaceful setting, comfortable and had everything we needed. weather was spot on as well and we enjoyed the elan valley which was just up the road.Within easy reach of Llandrindod (8 miles) and the scenery is great. Plenty of red kites to spoy and the housemartins just outside our window putting on a show for us, very friendly hosts, would highly recommend.
