The Pembrokeshire region
Pembrokeshire is one of the most beautiful areas of the UK. The county is home to Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, the only coastal national park of its kind in the United Kingdom and one of three national parks in Wales.
Pembrokeshire is a maritime county, bordered by the sea on three sides, by Ceredigion to the north east and by Carmarthenshire to the east.
Over the years Pembrokeshire's beaches have been awarded 41 Blue Flag Awards and 106 Seaside Awards. In 2011 it also had 39 beaches recommended by the Marine Conservation Society.
The cottage is in the rolling hills just south of the Preselis near the friendly towns of Maenclochog and Tufton. The cottage overlooks a peaceful valley with the Afon (river) Syfynwy flowing towards the Llys-y-Fran Reservoir.
The tranquil location is perfect for exploring all the history, art, culture, wildlife and activities Pembrokeshire has to offer.
There are several rewarding walks from the cottage, including to the Llys-y-Fran reservoir restaurant (with a choice of doing the long or/and short sides of the reservoir) and Rosebush with the charming restaurants one in an old post office and the other in the old station.

"Beautifully renovated cottage in peaceful location"
This lovely cottage in the middle of the hills has been beautifully renovated, with lovely old doors and wooden floors, as well as all the modern amenities you would need. Spacious in all rooms, and with two bathrooms, you are well equipped!! The surrounding land is ripe for exploring, and the mill and river is so idyllic. Location is great, despite small roads leading to cottage, it is not far off the beaten track, and within easy reach of the coast, castles, activities and many lovely coastal villages, including the smallest city in the UK, St Davids! First visit to this part of Wales, and along with the great weather, I will definitely be back! Cottage was like a home from home, with good heating and a log burner to keep you warm. Slept very well, with no other sounds at night! Highly recommend for families and groups of people alike!
