Location description from owner

The Wales region

Pembrokeshire is Wales' most popular coastal destination with it's magnificent coastal path which runs through the Pembrokeshire National Park. There are a number of blue flag beaches and beautiful villages and towns to explore. To the North is the stunning Cardigan Bay area, a great place to see bottlenose dolphins, harbour porpoises and seals in the wild. Inland are the Preseli mountains which lie in the National Park and their highest point is at Foel Cwmcerwyn, 536 metres (1758 feet) high. The mountains are dotted with ancient remains such as hillforts, burial sites and the Celtic Golden Road, the path that crosses the length of the Preselis.

Newchapel

There is a public footpath straight out from Valley View Cottages (so no need to get in the car). There are also many beautiful walks in the local surrounding area. The beach of Poppit Sands, with it's long sandy beach and dunes behind is situated only 6 miles from the property and has a car park and friendly cafe. The popular market town of Cardigan is only 5 miles away, and has an excellent range of amenities including cafes, shops and a vibrant arts and cultural programme. Valley View cottages is an excellent base for exploring West Wales, being close to the border of both Ceredigion (Cardiganshire) and Carmarthenshire. Sightseers – Walkers – Birdwatchers – Photographers – Artists – Beach lovers – Fisherman – Golfers – Horseriders – Cyclists – Canoeists. All will find plenty to do in the area. Equally for those who just want peace and quiet to relax in a tranquil setting, our holiday cottages can fit the bill.
