Oak lodge is made up of an open plan living area with a well-equipped kitchen and dining table and chairs to prepare and enjoy some good home-cooked meals. There is a comfy sofa, an arm chair and a swivel chair, in the spacious sitting area, making a great place to relax and watch TV after a full day out and about exploring the area.

There are two bedrooms, a sofa bed in the lounge sleeps 2 and a separate shower room. From the sitting area, French doors lead out onto the raised veranda with furniture, making a wonderful place for some alfresco dining or even a nice relax with a glass of something chilled.

The Clubhouse, known as 'Woody's, at Woodlands Park offers a warm welcome from your hosts Kev and Ronnie. This on site bar & restaurant is situated right at the front of the park and also has an outside seating area perfect for 'al fresco' dining. The Clubhouse offers hot food, cold beer and warm hospitality, with comfortable seating in a very stylish and yet family friendly setting.

There is plenty of woodland area to enjoy from the doorstep with many trails to follow on foot or bike as well as a children’s play area for the kids to enjoy. The River Llethi meanders through the park out onto Cei Bach beach and at low tide you can wander around the cove to the pretty harbour town of New Quay which is a fabulous traditional seaside resort with seaside shops and delightful ice cream parlours alongside more formal eateries.

The area offers numerous outdoor activities such as dolphin and wildlife spotting boat trips in New Quay, fishing, popular cycling routes and a fabulous coast path that meanders along some fantastic and diverse coastline.

For something different take a trip to Aberaeron with its shops and famous honey ice cream or Aberystwyth with many independent and high street stores all near the beach and the Victorian promenade.

Whatever you decide to do, Oak Lodge is an ideal retreat to enjoy the surrounding areas and the wonderful coastal villages and towns of Mid Wales at any time of the year.

Fantastic lodge

We had an amazing holiday, the lodge is beautiful, I would highly recommend staying here. The best restaurant by far was the penrhiwllan in Newquay.

How do damage deposits work?

In most cases, you don’t pay a damage deposit up front. Instead, we save your payment details securely and you’re only charged in the event of damage to the property.

Occasionally, you will pay a damage deposit up front as part of the total rental cost. In this case, the owner has 10 days after you check out to report any damage. If they don’t, we’ll return your deposit. If their claim is successful, we’ll deduct the agreed cost and return the remainder.

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Helen (the owner) a message.

If Helen (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
