The Stonehouse is a 2 bedroom converted farm house nestled in the hillside of the Sierra de Monchique, but still only 30 minutes from the coast. Designed for 2-4 people the Stonehouse has been carefully converted to offer comfort, space & character. Entering through the kitchen to the spacious living room, on the first floor, you can continue to enjoy the panoramic view. Main Bedroom and bathroom are on the ground floor. All ground Floor windows are fitted with fly screens.The Stonehouse has a fully equiped Kitchen with cooker, microwave, crookery and cutlery, washing machine and TV (local TV only), All Bedding and linen is included.The Stonehouse is ideally situated to explore both the South Coast & the more rugged West Coasts of the Algarve. It is only a 10 minute drive to Monchique, which lies between the two hills Fóia & Picota, the former reaching over 900 metres above sea level. Between Monchique & the town of Portimão is the popular little spa resort of Caldas de Monchique. This pretty little village has now been restored to its former glory. Saunter around the boutiques & cafes, picnic beneath the pines, or walk up the valley alongside a burbling stream.Holidays in Monchique are an enviable procession of sight seeing, leisurely walks through astonishingly beautiful countryside, sitting in idyllic town squares, with local markets offering regional produce & handicrafts, or eating simple but absolutely delicious local food & watching day-to-day life swirl past you.

“Beautiful home in stunning location”

It was cold and raining when we arrived, but having a fireplace made it warm and comfortable. I almost hoped it would keep raining. The weather was beautiful for the rest of our stay, and we spent much of our time on the terrace, which has the most amazing views! The house itself is lovely and has everything you could want. I would highly recommend it to anyone.

How do damage deposits work?

How do I edit my booking?

You can request to change the dates or number of people on your booking via the Manage your holiday booking page. To change your holiday dates use the Edit booking button. If you need to change the number of guests staying then send Mark (the owner) a message.

If Mark (the owner) agrees, they’ll send you a revised quote outlining the changes. You can review and accept/decline this from the Manage your holiday booking page. You’ll have 48 hours to take action before the revised quote expires.
