“Gorgeous apartment in an ideal location” This was our first family holiday in Portugal with our children aged 10 and 8 and I have to say it was a great trip due in part to the apartment and the family that own it. The apartment is ideally situated, literally 2 minutes walk from the promenade and the beach, which made it easy to pop back and forth during the day. We did have plans to undertake day trips to other towns but in the end spent the majority of our time in Quarteira (on it's beach). The apartment itself was spacious, decorated to a high standard, spotlessly clean with 2 modern bathrooms and equipped with everything you would need. The beautiful beach views from around the apartment are exactly as shown in the photographs. There are several good and reasonably priced restaurants located near to the apartment. As mentioned by previous reviewers, there is a bakery opposite the apartment block entrance with delicious cakes. Quarteira itself has a safe and family orientated vibe about it and the promenade was always full of families late into the evening. Finally a thank you to Nolita and her parents, Idalia and Alderberto. The booking process with Nolita was easy and straightforward. Her parents picked us from the Airport as well as dropping us off for the return flight (at 6am in the morning!). They all speak fluent English so there were no communication problems. They were very helpful, showing us around the town and giving recommendations when we arrived as well as being available at the end of the phone all week for queries and help. We found them to be warm, kind and considerate people. In summary, I would definitely recommend to others.
