“Fabulous villa” Without doubt the best villa we’ve ever stayed in - it is in an idea location, far enough away from the hustle and bustle but still close enough that it’s no more that a 5-10 min downhill walk to ‘restaurant hill’. As others have said, the pictures don’t really do it justice and we hand’s appreciated the main bedroom had a walk in wardrobe and large en-suite. The outside areas are also fab and get the sun all day long. The pool is large and whilst not heated was absolutely fine during our stay. The local ‘manager’ was really friendly and helpful and the shop she works in (virtually next door) had everything you’d need on a daily basis - the freshly baked rolls / pastries / Portuguese tarts were especially great. All in all a wonderful holiday and we’d return in a heart beat.

“Nice and service minded house owner, lovely house!"” Mrs. Sheenan was very courteous and service minded. You can tell that they're used to rent out their house, everything was well prepared and we never had to call them to ask for anything. The house was clean and fresh. The beds were somewhat hard, but it is a matter of taste. The roof terrace was nice in the evenings. We had the pool to ourselves almost all the time. The pool overlooks the hills, beautiful. The only thing I lacked was a minor detail, dishwashing liquid and hand soap, which is usually found when we rent houses. It felt safe to be able to park your car right by the house, and there was also a car park outside the gates. The block was quiet and safe and it took about 20 minutes to walk to the beach and restaurants in the city center. I can certainly recommend this house!

“Cannot be beaten” This is our fourth time to this apartment. Faultless right from the point of booking. Phillippa organises everything brilliantly and Barry the owner carried out the transfers for us from the airport. The apartment itself has everything you could wish for. Spotlessly clean, brilliant kitchen with all utensils and wonderful bathroom. Beds were sooo comfortable. The view from the balcony is out of this world, you could sit there all day and evening and never tire of it. To walk down into the Main Square takes about 5 minutes with escalators to help. There are so many restaurants to pick from and every one we went to delivered first class food and service. Wonderful place and somewhere you could return to year after year and never tire of it. First class.

“Fantastic position above albufeira old town.” What a famtastic property located on windmill Hill. Lovely position above Albufeira Old town. Nice complex and pool area. Lots of beds and we never had to book one with a towel! Apartment D-04 is the one we stayed at and the owners Rob and Gill Barnes ( contact via holiday lettings ) have got it just spot on. Clean, well furnished and equipped. It was just like a home from home in Portugal including Itv1 and BBc1 for those soaps. Rob and Gill were very professional and helpful throughout the whole booking process. Winmill hill is a wonderful complex and Rob and Gills apartment is superb. Wouldnt hesitate in going back.

“Lovely spacious apartment.” Rosemary was really helpful from booking the stay to checking we were having a great stay. The apartment is very large and has everything you need from washing machines to spare batteries for the air con. The pool is a nice size and although busy on some days we had no problem getting beds. Albufeira town is very lively but has something for everyone and the eating out is very good. The apartment is high above the town and the views from the front window are amazing,especially at night.But the walk from the town is very steep with lots of steps,so most people use a taxi to avoid the climb back. We really enjoyed our stay and hope to return some time in the future.

“Lovely apartment and location” We have just stayed in this apartment for 2 weeks. It was lovely with a. Good central location to 3 amazing beaches within a 15 min walk. Olhos beach is lovely but can be crowded especially in August, there is a great little shop selling cold drinks for about 1€ just by the beach. the club med beach was nice but the sea a little rocky for us. And our favourite was the start of the Falesia beach, although there are 122 steps to walk down/up by far the best beach. We walked to the local restaurant each night and there was plenty of variety to choose from. The apartment is about 10 mins from Albufeira centre and 15 mins from Vilamoura so great if you want to venture a bit further afield. Can not fault the apartment the appliances and furnishings were all top quality. Our only criticism is there are not enough sun beds or umbrellas at the pool. If you are not prepared to get up at the crack of dawn to reserve your beds (which we are not) you won’t get any. This may only be a problem in peak seasons when it’s fully booked. Would definitely recommend this apartment. Thanks for an amazing holiday.

“High Class Accomodation” Apartment was very clean and modern. All facilities. Good balcony with plenty of sun. Complex was spotless. Pool area good, not busy, easy to get loungers. Good bar and restaurant in complex. Very short walk to beach. No need for car. Great town. Plenty of Restaurants

“Beautiful apartment” We enjoyed our stay in Sao Rafael. The garden at the apartment is amazing and so beautiful. The children enjoyed playing out and I enjoyed relaxing there. The apartment to was clean and we'll prepared when we arrived. Well decorated and very comfortable. The complex is quite and relaxed. At the pool they have a cafe/bar which is run by a Portuguese family. Servicentral is extremely slow but that's due to lack of staff for the amount of people there.I heard the cafe wasn't open last year so I think there just getting the hang of things. There hospitality was great though and werelated very friendly. The local beach is about 15 mins walk andown is so picturesque and beautiful but was very busy (August). Restraunt there was very expensive and the que to get served for drinks etc was leading to the beach. There isn't a lot for children to do within walking distance so if you have children I recommend hiring a car. Supermarket is not within walking distance and you will need a taxi if you don't have a car which costs 22 euro return. There is a local shop but it's time you and doesn't have much in it. The old town and Marina are worth visit. The old town is very busy and has a lot going on. It's like London. It's so big and so many restaurants and shops. It was heaving. The marina is quite and has a blow up slide and trampolines for the children as well as an arcade. Carla who looks after the guests and the apartment is lovely and couldn't do enough to help us. She arranged taxis and a transfer to the supermarket. We had her number and Carla told us to call for anything we needed. Such a nice lady.
